For the price, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid SEL Convenience does everything well. Other than lacking a spare tire, I can't think of one feature I don't like.

Practical, sensible and drives great

We bought this vehicle new in November 2025. We compared it to several other vehicles in this class of small/medium SUV, and we are very happy we chose the Tucson. As noted below, we are very happy with all aspects of the vehicle, including styling, features, practicality and handling, with one minor exception noted below.

Don't buy this car

If you like the technology control and annoy you, then buy this car. The bluelink will warn you constantly about red light cameras, at least it does for me since I live near Chicago. There is no way to turn that off. The owner should have that right but the programmers think otherwise. Also, I am sick of the facial recognition software telling to take a break. I regret buying this car. This is the third Hyundai I have owned and will be my last.

The dealer of the purchase did not provide the full service of my vehi

The vehicle has axel noises and engine compartment noises the refuse to acknowledge it a kept saying they cannot duplicate it. I am very disappointed in the sales of this dealer.

Stylish performer

This is a good looking, well designed hybrid with a zippy powertrain and loads of useful features. My favorites are the heated steering wheel, very bright lights, head-up display, very good mileage, and a comfortable ride. The biggest disappointment is the lack of a spare tire.

A few major annoyances but overall solid

The “smart” settings on this car kind of ruin it. Specifically, the cruise control is endlessly frustrating. It turns off automatically if the camera is blocked, and I frequently position my arm in a way that blocks the camera. Therefore, I either have to be uncomfortable or not use the cruise control. It’s incredibly frustrating since I drove for 20 years using cruise control without a camera.

Confusing instrument panel

The car is comfortable. Electric driver's seat allows me to sit close and high enough to have a good view of the road and of other drivers. The touchscreen instrument panel, while very visible, is very confusing, non-intuitive and difficult to navigate. Still haven't figured out all of the buttons on and around the steering wheel. The owner's manual, being almost incomprehensible and equally difficult to navigate, is nearly useless. A beeping warning sign with a cup of coffee icon keeps popping up on the screen with a suggestion I take a coffee break even though I may have been on the road for fewer than 15 minutes. According to Google, it's activated if the car wanders out of its lane, which I am certain it has not. Furthermore, to test this theory, I drove on a road when there was no traffic and deliberately "wandered." No beep, no coffee cup icon, no friendly reminder to take a break. Finally, the tailgate pops open spontaneously and with no provocation other than walking past it.

Disappointed

Our Tucson Hybrid Limited was purchased new 3 months ago, drives just fine. It’s the technology that has left us disappointed. The gauge cluster, heads-up and the entire flat display screen turn on and off randomly while driving. All warning/caution lights will come and stay on, even after the vehicle is off and locked. They were on for ~4hrs overnight with vehicle off and locked.

More than expected!

We purchased our 2025 Hyundai from Hyundai of Cottonwood, and the vehicle was well equipped for the price point. The sales staff was excellent to deal with. Our salesman, Jeff Alszvig took all the time explaining the different models and trim levels and the functions of each. Dan in finance took extra time in finding a lender that would finance the car in the business name. All-in-All it was a great buying experience. Bill and Caryn, Sedona AZ.

Very comfortable, quiet ride

I was coming off of a 2023 Genesis GV70 which was by far the nicest car we’ve ever owned. Test drove the 2025 Tucson and felt that it was very close to the Genesis on overall ride quality with the hybrid giving it a lot of pep and great gas mileage.

The summary of my car is that I really love it! Very comfortable I love all the features especially the birds I view. I just wish for a hybrid limited that started at $44,000 that it would get better gas mileage than 32 miles per gallon. I drive very slow and watch that I can get the best gas I can.
