Overall an excellent car just a few inconveniences

Nice ride. Quiet and smooth at all speeds. Lots of good information on heads-up display. Dash display screen is at good position for glancing at map while driving. Minor problem is all doors must be closed before you can lock car.

Too many concerning issues

Like the look and ride of the car. However, we have found three issues that make us sorry we pruchased this vehicle; 1. We understand the gas cap door sometimes gets stuck closed. There is no easy access to open and we are very concerned about getting stuck on the highway with no gas!! 2. We understand the battery can lose most of it's juice from all of the digital updates. It is difficult to access the vehicle with a dead battery as you have covered the key hole!! 3. The vehice constantly alerts us that it is time to take a break. On a one hundred mie trip, it aerted me 20+ times. On a windy day when the car gets moved around a lot, it is even worse. There is no way to shut this off. This really annoys me to the point where i want to get rid of the car after only two thousand miles. 4. I had a RAV4 hybrid. It got close to 40MPG mixed driving. This car is closer to 32 MPG. I'm very disappointed with this. Carl Sacchetti

2026 Tucson Hybrid

Generally I am very satisfied with this vehicle. My major complaint, and a real weakness, is the backup camera. The image quality is low and it is always exposed , which means it becomes covered with road grime and must consistently be cleaned or it is not usable at all. You should take a note from VW. They locate the backup camera under the logo. When the car is placed in reverse, the logo tilts up allowing the camera to function. Once the car is placed in drive, the logo closes, protecting the camera. Another issue is the height of the center console. It is a little bit too high, and impairs the movement of my elbow when cornering to the right. My only other real complaint is that the gas engine revs at inappropriate times. The RPMs will rev up anywhere between 1.1 to 1.9 when sitting at a stoplight with foot off the gas entirely. They will also rev up as high as 3.3 when going downhill with no pressure on the gas pedal. This appears to occur primarily when the engine is cold. In fairness, the car is new and I have not had a mechanic look at the issue yet. It may just be a tune up issue. At less then 3000 miles, it is too early to accurately rate reliability.

Tucson Review

A lot of positives: built-in navigation, Sirius XM, spacious, back seat can be made flat. Negatives: very complex buttons, tabs, etc. for the driver to navigate.

Love the Tucson

This is my 3rd Tucson but my first Hybrid Tucson. The car seems to ‘fit’ me meaning it’s not too small or too big that it feels like it’s driving me. I love the large display and the holographic image out the window in front of me as I drive. There are many new things to help you keep your eyes on the road and not looking where to push buttons for heat, music, etc.However, I can’t seem to get the remote start from the fob to work which I will check on at the dealer.

Love Our New Tucson

This is our second Hyundai and I wasn’t sure about trading in our Sonata for the Tucson. I was pleasantly surprised how much I love the new Tucson SUV. What a roomy car and comfortable ride! We are thrilled with the new car. Fuel efficiency is not quite as good as the Sonata, but the storage, roominess, easy in/out (my husband’s not hitting his head anymore) and the smooth ride is awesome, very happy with both of our Hyundais and would buy another if necessary,
