A great vehicle...with a couple of quibbles

been driving Hyundais for almost 35 years. My 2024 Tucson is wonderful, but nothing's perfect. I wish the rear wiper blade covered more rear window area. It's limited by the Hyundai insignia at the bottom. And I wish there was a way I could disengage the automatic idle stop, rather than having to do it manually each time. Every time it engages the heat or AC shuts down. Frankly I see no use for it in the first place.

2024 Hyundai Tucson - The Best Vehicle

I love my 2024 Hyundai Tucson. I've been driving a very long time and this is truly the best vehicle I've ever had. It came with almost every single thing I could have wanted (I bought off the lot so I didn't get heated mirrors... things could be worse). It rides smooth, handles well and provides so much information in a simple manner so I don't have to think about things.

Like the car, hate the service department

First visit they had my car for 3 weeks to change out the monitor. Second visit 2 weeks without resolution. Currently been waiting over 2 months for a loaner car so I can take mine in.

issues with vehicle within 1st 1,000 miles

this is my 1st purchase of a Hyundai vehicle, and I had high hopes, but within the first 1,000 mile my car was making a whistling noise. The dealer replaced the fuel pump assemble for a bad fuel sensor. It was resolved for a while than at about 2,000 miles the noise started to occur again. The dealer wanted to evaluate the car to determine the cause and found out after leaving it with them for several days that the issue was the fuel pump assembly again. Dealer found out that Hyundai new of this issue and the 2nd fuel pump a newer date code had he fix in it. Problem seems to be resolved. Also, the lumbar support failed at less than 10K miles. Was replaced. Not a warm feeling about quality Hyundai. Just waiting for something else to fail.

Our Tucson has taken us on so many retirement adventures this year. Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Tennessee, & Texas. We have more trips planned for 2026. Great vehicle, perfect size, we love our Tucson!

Love my Hyundai Tucson except for one thing!

The one thing is the supposed gas saving feature which shuts the motor off at the stop light and then turns it back on when throttled to proceed. As a rule, I hit the button which turns this feature off at the start of my driving, but it is really annoying if I forget to do this and it stops and starts at the first light. I have had several mechanics say that it will wear out the engine faster, and in my opinion, it does not save that much on fuel if at all. It is just one of those craaazzzyy climate change features that really doesn't serve any real purpose in preserving the climate, costs more to add it to the vehicle and is highly annoying!
