Good car with problems that the dealership doesn't seem to care about.

Runs smoothly for the most part. Gets excellent gas milage. Only drawbacks are the back gate doesn't always latch with auto close and the transmission slips when you let the engine turn off at a stoplight.

My 2024 Tucson

I have owned other Tucsons and Santa Fes. I have been very satisfied with their design, performance and reliability. On the current (2024) version I have one annoying complaint. In order to use Android Auto, you must have a wired connection. My previous Tucson connected wirelessly. I don't understand why they've taken this step backward. I was told upon purchase that this was a feature that was being worked on but have since been told (by Hyundai) not to expect a wireless solution.

Engine shutoff is pain in the ass.

No garage door button. My cars for 20 years have had a garage door button.

Shop around

Body has to many factory gaps there are way off. My hatch is so crooked it’s not funny. Dealership wouldn’t help. Said it was normal. Took it to multiple body shops all of which said they would complain. I did nothing happened. Also seems like it could use something to stop the rear from kicking out when you hit a bump in the back end.

Overall great car, a few shortcomings push me down to 4 out of 5 stars

Overall the car has been good to us, we've already put almost 60K miles on it in the two years we've owned it. It rides great, drives great, and the safety features are well above average. A very *few* shortcomings make me rate is slightly lower than 5 stars. If I could it would probably be 4.5 out of 5. Missing Features: 1.) Wireless Apple CarPlay... If it's going to have carplay wireless carplay should be a standard especially on the higher end Limited trim package. 2.) The ability to use the smartphone as an "electronic key" is limited to Andriod.. I understand they've fixed that in newer models, but still, the ads were a bit misleading here. 3.) If the MyHyundai app would allow you to *schedule* a remote start event like for example the FordPass app does, that would be fantastic. Also the ability to "extend" the remote start event for times when you triggered the remote start and then got delayed by more than 10 minutes getting to your car. We especially use that feature on the FordPass app with our truck when traveling with our pets in the summer time. We can have the remote start going for up to 30 minutes on the ford this way.
