No power

Car is well built and equipped, but it is very much underpowered. Good luck trying to pass a car on the highway above 50 mph... Takes forever to get up to speed. At 65 mph on the highway, the slightest incline causes the car to downshift and if it is more than a couple of degrees of incline, it will have to downshift 2 gears... The auto shutoff at stoplights is very annoying. It can be turned off, but you have to do it every time you get in the car. there is no permanent off.

Hyundai SE

I am very satisfied with my Tucson SE 2024. Even this lowest trim level has many features. I love all the safety features and I am sure they have saved me from some stressful situations. My only complaint is the lack luster power when pulling out into traffic. It seems sluggish in its acceleration. Otherwise, I love the car.

Unreliable and underpowered

I had 2 issues in 2 years with the vehicle. A sensor in the catalytic converter failed, throwing an engine code and the transfer case for the AWD failed. Both took several months to repair under warranty.

Not Good

The center console takes up too much space leaving little legroom. The roof is low in the front so I have to hunch forward while driving. Small cup holders. Faulty windshield wipers and cabin filter. Misleading promises about “free lifetime oil changes”. Weak trunk piston. Over reactive safety sensor that locks the brakes often which causes a safety hazard. We are counting the days until the lease is up.

How we like our 2024 Hyundai Tucson . . .

We like the extra power that the Tucson has, compared to our VW Tiguan. But the Tiguan had a smoother transmission. Overall, though, we like the space, including for our grandkids. We have a car seat in the back seat 90% of the time. We can easily take 3 grandkids all at one time. I personally like the power adjustments to the driver's seat. We are a little disappointed in the acceleration that the Tiguan has compared to our Tucson. We also liked the shifting that the Tiguan had. Especially shifting up and down in 2nd and 3rd from the transmission. The Tucson rides better on the Interstate, with less problems with wind.
