2024 Tucson Review

This vehicle was not my 1st choice. It just looked like the Honda CRV knock off. Here's what I do like: It came with sunroof, heated and cooling seats, which I do enjoy and self starter which comes in handy on cold or hot days. I do like that technology part of the vehicle. The space in back seat is ample for long legs, and the trunk is spacious. As far as gas goes I get some pretty decent mileage around town and on highway. 25 city / 32 highway / 28 combined MPG, while All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) models get 23 city / 28 highway / 25 combined MPG. Hyundai has been reliable for the past year of lease. I would like to upgrade to the Hyundai Sante Fe Hybrid next.

Extremely happy with the choice of our '24 Tucson

The vehicle handles well in bad weather (front wheel drive) and it has quite good pick up for passing or entering highway flow. We frequently take long road trips. The ride is comfortable with leg room in the back being equal to front legroom (a pleasant surprise). Cargo space was a real plus in our purchase decision. We also purchased a cover for the cargo space which has been a real plus - especially on our long trips! Gas mileage, while not the numbers on the window sticker, is still satisfactory around town - 22 to 26 mpg. Very happy with highway mileage - can be 30 - 33+ mpg on trips. In the past we never purchased the "extras" contracts, but this time around we did. In our late 70's we no longer want to deal with the unforeseen. We purchased the extended 150k mile warranty, the 84 month maintenance plan, and the tire/wheel hazard coverage. Have already had a tire replaced under the tire hazard plan. All maintenance is performed - including cabin filter - for nothing more than my signature. With 22,000+ miles on the vehicle I can't yet speak to the extended warranty - but anticipate similar satisfaction. Getting familiar with the infotainment system takes some time. There is no way the familiarization session during vehicle delivery can cover all of it. Just a few minor issues: insufficient user manuals in the glove compartment - have to go up to the web to access the 600 page manual - a real pain when you need to find something out about your new car; the cup holders aren't adequate or sizable enough. We have seat position memory, but the mirrors don't maintain memory settings. The year we purchased, Hyundai discontinued several vehicle color choices (we were told supposedly to favor Sonatas with those colors) - limiting us to black, white, and 3 silver/greys. BUMMER! We had really hoped for a blue! These sore points are obviously minor considering our overall 5 Star satisfaction. We are very happy with our '24 Tucson experience!

Love my Tucson!

Love the Hyundai line of vehicles. Owned a 2010 Elantra and my grandson is still driving it now! The Tucson is the perfect size SUV and even the basic model has many extra features. Very glad we chose this model.

Love My Tucson

So far, it drives well, my only concern is when I forget to turn the energy saver on. The car jolts a bit when switching the status to off. If it’s on every time the vehicle starts and stops it jolts and I’m afraid to damage the transmission.

My Trusty Tucson

I leased my Tucson in March 2024. Overall, I am very impressed with it. It is an extraordinarily practical vehicle, a perfect size for my family. The fuel economy is good for it's size. I have had no mechanical problems at all. I do have a couple of complaints and concerns. First of all, the seats are TOO HARD! I understand the need to have support, but as a 58-year-old man with tailbone pain, the seats are simply too hard, especially compared to the Nissan Rogue I rented last fall on a trip. My fit young son has the same complaint about the seats. The other complaint is that periodically the cars computer is slow to connect to my phone or doesn't do so at all. This is infrequent and minor compared to the 2022 Elantra that I previously leased. The last complaint is that Hyundai's styling is overwrought and out there. The car is not ugly, in fact, I think the Tucson is the best of Hyundai's designs. Having said that, put less energy into swoopy designs and more care into stuff that makes you love or hate a car, like seats. Overall, though, I like this car. I just just did a 2,400 mile drive and it worked flawlessly.
