Car was a total loss after a minor accident

I loved my Tuscon. Unfortunately, due to the way it is manufactured a recent accident - where I was struck on my driver's side door - it had to be written off as a total loss due to one small piece. I bought it new in July of 2024 and now don't have a car anymore thanks to this. Knowing that is a possibility, I'm hesitant to invest in another one for my next vehicle. They also don't have the Tuscon in my preferred color, the intense blue, and that was a huge deciding factor for me originally since I love that color.

Overall happy with my 2024 Tucson

The only reason I can't give a 5 star rating is the stop/start technology. Absolutely awful system! The hesitation at restart is nerve racking.

I enjoy my vehicle very much.

With all of my travel I appreciate the good gas mileage and all the safety features. I just feel like my back really hurts in the seat after some time. I wish it had a feature where I could adjust the seat back...I often need to use something for my lower back.

Economical, but has a few idiosyncracies. Generally a good car.

Too much emphasis on using technology in the car. It is not possible to make many changes without looking away from the road. This is particularly true of heater and A/C controls. The rear wiper requires that a hand be removed from the wheel to operate it, where a simple toggle switch on the end of the stalk would suffice. Radio on/off and volume would be more easily operated by a knob.

Gas Tank

The gas tank is tiny. I have to fill up constantly. I had a Sonata for years and it had a much bigger gas tank. The gas mileage isn't that great either.

Car is worth owning

All around the car is good. It is a pleasure to drive and easy to handle. There are a few things that drive me crazy. 1) and the fact that you cannot lock your door by pushing the button on the inside door. It has to be locked touching outside or with key. Annoying. On the infotainment system a)is not very easy to change screens and have access to different ones. Seems like it is difficult to view certain screens. Could definitely get use some more storage nooks on console and in door sides. Other than that, the car is a pleasure to own. Good job overall.

Luxury on a budget

Love most everything about the Tuscan. Very comfortable smooth ride and can make and receive calls without the loud cabin noise. Just would like Apple CarPlay already part of the offering instead of having to purchase attachment myself
