Big Improvement in 7 Years

Big improvement over 2018 Tucson, which was underpowered and engine wore out in 80,000 miles. This larger engine has reasonable pickup and doesn't seem to be laboring. Mileage is about the same. BlueLink doesn't work with my six-year-old phone, so I was unable to open my garage door since there is no button on the mirror, and I had to buy a new opener. There is no audible warning for backing into something, that my 2018 had. This will let you back right into something with no warning. The camera is greatly improved, but when I questioned no warning, I was told this car doesn't have that package. Points off for removing important safety feature. Adaptive cruise control doesn't give smooth ride, jamming on brakes too late and surging to speed up. Lane assist (Jesus, take the wheel) delays steering on curves, jerking the wheel unnecessarily. These are nice features, but Hyundai has a ways to go to refine them. Keyfob has liftgate opener on side, much less likely to accidentally trigger it. There is much less interior storage space for cups, door pockets, etc. The display screen seems to be an add-on rather than an integral part of the vehicle, as there are spaces below and behind where items can get caught or disappear. Driver seatbelt is hard to reach. There is no USB plug-in, only USB-C, so I had to buy an adapter. There is some conflict with the music and Maps, and I have to actually use my phone to navigate if I'm listening to music. I was mostly satisfied with my 2018, and this 2025 is a big improvement. I buy Hyundai for the warranty.

Beautiful car but …

It’s a beautiful small suv but there is something up with the transmission. It will rev up and I’m not even pressing the gas pedal . It also does not have a fast response during emergency situations . If I try to turn fast it takes a minute to go ! Another scary safety feature they have is it breaks really hard for you even in times you don’t need it to be ! Overall I’m happy with the truck but when lease is over I’m done with the Tuscan .

Great but why break light malfunction

We got the car April 2025, and for some reason the brake light keeps going out. We’ve had it in twice and now it’s a third time, I would like someone from Hyundai to call me and help figure out why this is happening. My daughter a full-time student and has limited time to get the car in to be serviced

Second Tucson and love them both

I only have 2600 miles on my 25 Tucson as of yet, but I’m very happy with it. I do only have two drawbacks. I do not like the shift option and two after only 2600 miles I have chip marks in my driver seat.

Good, could be great.

I really enjoy my 2025 Hyundai Tucson for a number of reasons. The interior is my absolute favorite. I love design and feel. It feels super spacious inside. It drives smooth. Then come the down sides. The tech is just more of a nuisance than helpful. The number of times this car has jerked to a stop for no reason is astounding. It’s been cold the last few days and that seems to impact the driver assistance capabilities. If you wear sunglasses, it also doesn’t like that it can’t see your eyes to make sure you’re paying attention to the road. We were not told about this feature while purchasing and I find it creepy. If all the unnecessary tech was removed, this car would be terrific. Less is more.

Quality control is questionable!

Drove just 150 miles, check engine light on. Two trips , 3 days, and a loaner car later, and I’m disenchanted with the quality control people at Hyundai. Korea manufacturing is known for its high quality cars! This one slipped through with a poorly manufactured charcoal canister (split seam) . Also the safety sensor in the front bumper and windshield camera are too sensitive to fog and rain/snow , and often are disabled! (Engineering looks good on paper) . And(arbitrary) power seat and privacy glass should be standard at this price point! Nice looking suv, roomy and quiet ride, great pep, heat, and instrumentation. Hopefully ownership will be satisfactory going forward.
