My First Hyundai

When my vehicle was delivered to me. I was in aww. I went from a 2006 Honda accord, to a 2026 Hyundai Tucson. The tech was amazing. The interior, safety features all had me in shock. Then I drive it. The ride is amazing. Handling perfect. The self driving.. wow. Top to bottom on the 1st day.. I am in love. Now I am 3 months in..and still in love. There are a few design flaws and a thing or two that need to be adjusted. 1, take off. You floor it, there is a delay. Doesn't really take off like I wish it would. 2. The front wipers location. How it is set up, is not practical for people living in snowy conditions. Recently had a blizzard, with hail and ice. The whole are where the wipers are located froze. Could not sue the front wipers at all, and all the snow froze between wipers, and hood. There is this space that gets full, and freezes the wipers in place if the car is parked. Even with front defrosted on full. Doesn't melt. Those are the only 2 flaws. Other than that... I'm Hyundai for life. Hoping to get a Genesis after this.

First time Tucson buyer

I have previously owned four Santa Fe limited’s and have enjoyed them all. This year when deciding to purchase a new vehicle and finding that they no longer had a six cylinder and the boxy design made me look at the Tucson. I am completely satisfied and would recommend it’s purchase to anyone.

New to Hyundai

I really do love the Tucson so far. Can’t beat the value and warranty. However, there are a few things that I do not like. I 100% miss having seat setting memory. Storage is more limited than I am used to in Honda vehicles and I really do not like that I cannot lock the doors via the inside of the door when I am about to exit. With a push start car, my keys stay in my purse 90% of the time and sometimes juggling my purse to be at the right spot for the car to pick up the sensor for me to lock once the door is closed (touching the door handle), seems to be more challenging than I’d like. I am used to being able to lock the door via the inside of the door just before I shut it. I realize this is disabled to alleviate accidental locking the car with keys inside mishaps, but that’s easily managed by programming the car to not lock of the key fob is detected inside the vehicle. Yes these are personal preferences but they are inconvenient to me and would be easy fixes. I am also very confused on why a fan runs after I’ve only driven a SHORT distance and it’s not hot outside. This is concerning to me as it makes me wonder if this is why I’ve heard of a few Hyundai owners’ vehicle engines blew. Are all the electronics in the vehicle causing the need for the fan to run for a pretty significant time after a short drive (30 mins)? It hasn’t been the case every time but enough that it makes me wonder if I’m going to have to actually use the warranty for a blown engine at some point.

features are overwhelming do not know how anything works;.

I spent $40,000 on this Vehicle; don’t know how the features work; never received a follow up phone call or email, or letter from Elgin Hyundai even thanking me for the sale. I will commend Sycamore Hyundai as even after the sale they reached out to me and said if I needed anything do not hesitate to contact them. That is more than I received from the dealer I bought the car from. Not even a thank you letter. All other dealerships we bought cars from showed respect to their costumers. Check to see how many Hyundai’s we have purchased. This might be our last one after this experience.

Like the car but…. -Don’t like the shifting of gears in the engine when stepping on the gas - not enough cup holders -console is too deep, had to buy a tray to put in it.
