2026 Tuscon

Mostly enjoying my Tuscon. Areas that could use improvement: Add the 'sunglass compartment' in front to the rear view mirror (like the 2013 Sonata had). Increase the brightness of the dashboard lighting for: seat heat, A/C, Defroster, Rear window defroster, etc against the black panel. Even with the setting at the maximum of 20, the lights are near impossible to see whilst driving. Increase the opening of the console to allow full 'lean-back' of the lid. Return the warning sound for turn signals flashing after an extended period of the signal being turned on (like the 2013 Sonata had).

Newly Purchased 2026 Tucson at Dealership for Four Weeks & Counting

In June, I purchased a brand-new 2026 Tucson Limited from the Hyundai dealership in Kenosha, WI. From the start, I had trouble with the instrument panel. It would randomly reboot or, worse, just go blank. I took it to the dealership after a few weeks, who unsuccessfully tried to run Recall 304 on the car. They suggested I wait a couple of weeks and bring the car back if the OTA update didn't complete on its own. The OTA did complete on its own and for a week or so all seemed fine. Until one day while I was driving on the expressway outside of Chicago, the panel rebooted and threw up a NO SIGNAL warning. I had to complete my 120-mile round trip with no instrument panel. The NO SIGNAL warning did not resolve itself over that weekend so on Monday, August 3, I called and insisted that the dealership look at the car that day. They determined that a new part was needed and provided me with a loaner until the part could be ordered and installed. Today is Friday, August 28, which is four weeks without my car, and there's been absolutely no communication from the dealership about when the car will be fixed and I'll get it back. I called after the first week and was told the part was back-ordered with no delivery date available. The service advisor said it would be two weeks or two months, maybe more. I am still driving the loaner, but I want to be driving the car I purchased. I wish I had never even considered purchasing a Hyundai. The build quality is terrible and the dealership is a joke. I previously owned two Mazdas, one of which I had for ten years, and never had a problem. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Nice and Cool but...

2026 Tucson is a very nice. Much cooler than I expected. I owned a Mercedes and Infiniti. This is an additional car to what I own. This Tucson has almost same features that my MB has. Only missing piece is automatic side mirror folding. A big missing feature. What a tremendous mistake by Hyundai. Auto-hold & Stop-and-Go make jerking when resuming.

Issues from the start

From day one there were problems. The window controller on the driver side did not work and I couldn't open or close any windows. The driving mode controller always reverted to Snow and the mode always changed to Snow no matter what mode I chose. My Hyundai dealership in Bayside couldn't help me and I have an upcoming appointment with the service department

researched several different vehicles before choosing the tucson. I narrowed it down to the tucson or the buick envision. I chose the tucson for two reasons. One It is built in the USA, the buick envision is only built in China, and second It has a great warranty.

Just Right

Perfect sized vehicle for quick road trips for an empty nester with good gas mileage. Handles and rides well with ample storage space if needed for larger loads without being as bulky as a truck. Grandkids fit well in the back!

Totally happy

My only complaint is the seat belt buckle scratches the B pillar AND that darn key fob is too big.. I’ve already dropped it dozens of times.

Average small SUV

Hyundai has the best warranty available and that's why we bought the Tucson. But, the vehicle itself is not that special. The biggest annoyance is when a bike rack is used the backup sensors do not work and you have to manually disengage them or the vehicle won't move. Didn't anyone think about that? Also, the electronics on the top of the line Tucson (Limited) doesn't compare to it's mid-grade big brother Palisade (SEL Premium). Knowing what i know now i wouldn't have bought it.

Nice, but not what it was.

As the tech improves, the essence of driving is lost. I don't feel the same connection to the vehicle that I did in previous models. Nobody seems to understand that drivers don't necessarily want all the new tech features. Too much going on. Too many lights, and dings, alerts etc. The display panel is way to convulted and takes way too much time to go through it all and understand what everything does. 90% of the features never get used. Simple is better people! Don't keep adding features just for the sake of adding something new. All it does is drive up the cost. The value for the price is lost.
