New vehicle review

Overall, I have liked the car. There are some changes from my previous car and unknowns that I need to address, such as media and display screen. Storage disappoints me. I don't like reviewing anything when the product is so new. It's just a benchmark, but will likely be used to promote quality.

2026 Tucson SEL is average

We traded in our nicely kept 2013 CR-V on 4-30-26 for a new 2026 Tucson SEL. We have had it for just over two months and driven about 1700 miles of city driving. The Idle Stop and Go (ISG) feature is totally annoying for the $2 dollars worth of gas it likely saves per year. The default should be the off position with an option for the user to enable it if desired. Transmission has a herky jerky stutter at times which is not normal compared to my previosly owned CR-V. Also, mileage has been a major disappointment for us 70 plus year old drivers with a gentle gas pedal. We are seriously thinking about going back to a Honda CR-V in the next year regardless of dollar loss.

Doesn't run smoothly. Idles hard and then just stops. Cooling thunks loudly. Never gets smoothly to main screen.... Must go through several steps.

Great riding vehicle

The vehicle gives a very smooth and comfortable ride. Steering is okay except for some small wheel alignment issues. The 2.5L engine produces great acceleration for vehicle passing and entering the highway from exiting. It has many features for the cost of the vehicle.

2026 Hyundai Tuscan

Well build car. Has too any “safety features” that are difficult to adjust. The media center is just too much. Very confusing. You need a lot if time and energy to get through it all. The car brakes itself way too often, and way too hard. It’s extreme.

Dependable and great warranty

Just wish my SEL model had more comfortable driver seat. Coming from a Genesis there is no comparison in comfort which surprised me since this is an Hyundai. I've also had difficulty seeing the tiny lights on the air conditioner panel that shows re-circulating air. When driving it's not easy to check these.
