2026 Tucson Delivered and Sold with Manufacturer Dashboard Defect

wanted to like this vehicle because my family has owned numerous Hyundai vehicles over the years. Unfortunately, my experience with this 2026 Tucson has been extremely disappointing. The vehicle was delivered with a visibly defective dashboard that should have been identified during Hyundai's manufacturing quality assurance process before the vehicle ever reached the dealership. A defect of this magnitude on a brand-new vehicle significantly diminished my confidence in Hyundai's quality control. What has been even more frustrating is the amount of time required to address the problem. Months after purchase, the issue remains unresolved, and the proposed repair involves replacing the entire dashboard on a brand-new vehicle. While Hyundai considers this an acceptable repair, I have concerns about the long-term quality, fit and finish, potential rattles, and the reliability of electronic components after such an extensive repair. Most concerning is that Hyundai has provided no long-term assurance or warranty beyond the standard vehicle coverage to address potential dashboard-related issues that could develop after the factory warranty expires. As a customer, I should not have to worry that a manufacturing defect present on delivery could create future problems years down the road. The Tucson has many positive features, but my ownership experience has been overshadowed by a major manufacturing defect, the lengthy resolution process, and the resulting loss of confidence in Hyundai's quality assurance. Based on my experience, I could only rate this vehicle 3 out of 5 stars.

Tucson Disappointment

This is my fourth Hyundai, after 3 Santa Fes. I plan on discussions with a factory rep to see what can be done if anything can to improve the driving experience of this vehicle. I have to fill out the requirements of my lease, but if we are unable to correct the deficiencies of this vehicle, this will be my last Hyundai. My dealer has no answers.

2nd new hyundai

Traded in my 2020 sante fe we bought new. Plastic suspension cover came lose this month. No built in sunshade like sante fe. I wish we could of gotten another sante fe. Seats not very comfortable. Price Good and love the standard features and free app

too many issues for brand new car

i bough a brand new Tucson it has 1200 miles on it have had the car for a few months and it has been in the shop for 1 of the months .. 1) it had a leak in the transmission 2) it needed an alignment - i have a car 2016 never needed an alignment was told oh it came form the factory not aligned 3) rubbing on back wheels another 2 weeks in the shop 4) the steering wheel is still crooked .. i told the service associate .. she said it wasnt

Love/Hate relationship

Overall, I appreciate the amount of tech in the car. There are just issues with the User Experience. 1) The AC vents are at the level of the steering wheel, so they cool the wheel and not the driver. Plus they do not have much directional maneuverability. The beeping and automatic stopping are enough to drive me crazy! I live in NYC, you do not have the luxury of 10 feet of space on either side of your car when parallel parking. Plus the automatic stopping has almost gotten me in an accident on several occasions and this is after the recall fix. When backing up all the beeping is insane. And if I depress the button to shut it off, it comes back on when I switch gears. Plus if I am stopped at a light and I am close to the car in front of me (again, I live in NYC), then the car beeps incessantly. If Car Play is running, you have to scroll through screens and buttons to get to the stereo controls...dangerous! And when the car starts, it doesn't automatically go back to the screen you had up when you last drove....annoying! Just overall things that are very inconvenient, that should have been researched more thoroughly.
