Porsche Cayene or Genesis

We were looking for another vehicle and looked at BMW's, Porsche, Audi and Genesis. It really came down to Genesis and Porsche. So the deciding factors were as follows. Porsche ride was great, Genesis not bad in comparison, very close. Cost: Porsche discounted and still 20K more. Warranty: Standard warranty with Porsche while Genesis 10 year/100k mile. Porsche also nickel and dimed you for everything while the Genesis actually had more features than the $165k Porsche we saw. No brainer decision.

The only complaint I had was CarPlay was not working, after an software update after 4 months, it started working. Great SUV, comfort, and features.

AutoNation dropping Genesis as a dealership is unethical.

Vehicle is fine. No place to take it for service or warranty work because AutoNation Genesis is no longer an authorized dealership.

Beautiful style

Interior and exterior styling along with interior quality sold the vehicle for me. The ride is firm with the large wheels, but overall a very comfortable ride with a sporty feel when needed.

Wifi

I was told by my salesman that I would able to get wireless WiFi within a few months of purchasing the car which was 12/2024. I still can’t get it but many other brands have this feature that are not as luxurious as the GV80. When can I have this feature.

Best SUV I have ever owned

I find the car to be well made and the interior is very luxurious and well laid out. It drives and handles very well. I am frustrated with the fact that I can't wear sunglasses while using the cruise control. I purposely bought a pair of lightly tinted non-polarized lens glasses but still can drive with them. The lane keeping system can be overbearing at times. I have had it turn off in the middle of a curving street and had to recover quickly before it hit a median divider.
