Has some good qualities but could use improvement.

Pros: - good efficiency - accurate mlieage estimation unlike tesla - smooth, comfortable ride Cons: - infotainment system isn't great - app is terrible - both charging and GPS isn't as good as other EV's.

Great except for 12 volt battery problem that took too long to resolve. Also, air conditioner did not work a month after purchase and it took the entire summer before it could be fixed.

Excellent experience with our first EV

We bought our Ioniq5 when we were pressed to make a decision so it was a leap of faith to buy an EV. At the time I was driving 900 miles a week and it seems like a practical move. We get about 250 per charge. Closer to 300 in summer and closer to 200 in cold winter days. The performance is great as you would expect. This car is very roomy for it's size. I am 6'4 and have plenty of leg and head room. 65K miles in 2.5 years. I have bought tires and rotated them. That is it. No other repairs, no oil changes fluid flushes. We have a level 2 charger in our garage which makes it very easy. Public charging is better than it used to be but not always convenient. Public charging doesn't even come up except for road trips. It can add 20 minutes every 3-4 hours to a regular stop for gas and requires more forethought. The pluses for us far outweigh the minuses.. All in All I think it's the best vehicle we have purchased

Little annoying noises, terrible customer service

The car has had minor issues like rattling and shaking at highway speeds. The customer service department at several locations is awful. They are rude, dismissive and inattentive. I am looking forward to trading it in next month and going with a different company.

A dream car with a few manageable flaws

This car is a dream, the design is unique and beautiful which makes it stand out but not aggressively. I love the interior room, the way the vehicle drives and handles and it just feels well made which I can't say for some other EV brands. Here's what I don't like and that needs improvement: the auto windshield wiper function is erratic and inconsistent. Sometimes it will be pouring rain and my wipers won't turn on, and other times it will be barely a drizzle and the wipers kick into furious action. I want more physical buttons and less touch-screen. Especially for AC controls. The rear windshield needs a wiper and I wish the turn radius was better. I also hate the SaaS model with the app. This November the Bluelink trial will end and I absolutely hate that I have to pay a monthly fee to keep what should be basic services like remote lock and vehicle start. This is my first time encountering this with a vehicle and I will make sure for my next vehicle to find one that does not have this subscription model. I do not feel valued as a customer as a result.
