Good experience except for major issue with the 12 volt battery.

Vehicle is not equipped with a rear window wiper. Very poor decision. Buttons below screen are very difficult to read during daylight hours.

Reliable, well designed, good seating; top driving performance

The 2023 Ioniq 5 eliminated a catastrophic electrical charging problem with our 2022 Ioniq 5 ["Florida lemon"]. The teal dual color is very pleasing; I hope Hyundai with stick with this fine car.

Range problems

In winter the range dropped whenever I used the Heat. In summer the range dropped whenever I used the A/C. This is the reason I traded it in for a Hybrid.

Ioniq 5

Nice car but with quirks. Hatch rattles, despite two dealership attempts to fix it and me resorting to putting tape on the latch. Window vibrates. Charge varies wildly depending on weather. But it drives smoothly and looks nice. Have had three recalls.

I had my eye on this car when it was first announced and decided to lease one in 2023. The car has been a joy to drive. It's fast, eye catching and economical. No regrets.

Great car great range

The 2023 model year is a great vehicle. The updated version comes with a few options I would have liked like a rear window wiper, memory seats for dual drivers. Up until the end when I had an electrical issue with the smaller battery connecting to the main battery, since now fixed, it was a fun car to drive. Range was excellent. Too bad the higher trim level had the shorter range battery. Why? I would have liked to have ventilated seats in my trim level. Why not just make one trim level with everything? How about more than one or two available colors.

We are pretty happy with our I5

What we like: Performance Comfort Cargo capacity Quietness What needs improvement: Update process is to confusing and difficult Routine maintenance schedule - a total, complete mystery with respect to what needs to be done when and why Lack of rear windshield wiper - a total disaster - impossible to keep back window clear enough to see out of. Sounds like a small thing but it is not Controls - needs more physical knobs, switches, etc. especially for but not limited to, climate control. Climate control settings are difficult to understand. Icons are non-intuitive Communications from Hyundai inadequate. Without 3rd party online forums I wouldn't know enough to operate the I5 successfully. Opening the rear hatch after a 12V battery failure - way too difficult. I did not succeed in opening it from the inside the one time I really needed to. Remaining mileage range estimates not good enough, even in the simplest cases. InfoTainment display navigation too difficult.

2023 Ionic 5

Overall the car is great to drive. Great performance and handling. Fast charging is amazing as well. Advertised 300+ range was true up until the first year now down to about 250 range which has not been detrimental. The 12 v battery did need replacement after two years which didn’t seem to right as well. Enjoyed the car very much all things considered.

Good but charging stop frequentyl

When charging at Home, it stops frequently. Therefore When I wake up in a moring, I found out that the charge was not completed. I would like to know what to do.

Vehicle Generally Good. Hyundai Warranty Support and Dealerships Poor

The vehicle is spacious, easy and fun to drive and comfortable. Creaky frame noises while driving. Have been highly annoyed by frequent recalls for software updates. Experienced "warranty" failure in Michelin tire which Hyundai said wasn't their problem, and Michelin dealerships said were "headaches" that they couldn't get corporate to support. Hyundai dealership support and performance seem to be on a downward trajectory (hard to schedule appointments and poor service). Have enjoyed the car but wouldn't recommend to friends and family.
