Favorite car I have owned

The driving experience is wonderful. Lots of pick up and yet very smooth. No range issues. Comfortable seats, nice climate and entertainment controls with physical buttons. Plenty of space in the back row for the family. Had an issue with the ICCU but was replaced by Hyundai at no cost.

great car, terrible dealer

My ioniq has been a terrific car for the past two years. My dealership experience has been terrible. Sales are dishonest, and service has made mistakes every time I have taken the car in.

I Love the IONIQ 5

My car was in the shop for over two months so that spoiles my rating a bit. For the most part I really like this car. I love the fast charging and overall comfort. I like the range of the RWD car.

Charge time too long

EV is great for in town tree m driving and charging over night. If you drive out of town charge time is too long. Driving speed greatly reduces charge percentage. I'm 20 miles from work, and I use about 12 to 14 % of full charge. On the highway at least 20% It takes 3 hours or more to charge the battery 40% at a 40 amp rating which is the most important can get from my 240 v charger.

Great car, the worst service experience at the dealership

Unfortunately, I’ve had to steer several neighbors away from buying this vehicle and not because of the vehicle, but because of the poor dealership experience. It couldn’t be any worse, even something simple as several voicemails left at the service part of dealership and never hearing back, over the course of a week or two. No one ever picks up live, and the messages go into voicemail. Hell, meaning they are never returned.

My best car experience

I purchased my Hyundai Ioniq 5 in October 2022, and it has been the most reliable vehicle I have owned so far. The vehicle itself is so fun to drive and has made the transition from an ICE car to an EV. The vehicle has a lot of fun features that make driving more enjoyable, like the 360 camera view when reversing, lane change assist and the augmented reality.

An overall good EV.

Overall, our Ioniq 5 has been good and for what we bought it for, mostly an in-town commuter car, it does the job. We have had good and bad road trips with it. But, the biggest issue that has soured our experience with EVs was the issues with the 12V system and the ICCU.

Better than I expected.

I had been eyeing one of these for a few years. I finally got the chance to buy one at the price I was willing to pay and let me tell you, I have been blown away. I love the tech, the comfort, the little things. I love that it feels bigger inside than it looks from the outside. I love how fast it can go and how easily it regens the braking. Great car. Very pleased.

The car was great before the ICCU failed

I greatly enjoyed my Ioniq 5. It was responsive, well-designed and seemed very reliable right up until it wasn't. The ICCU and battery failed, and it's now been weeks waiting for the required parts to be delivered, leaving the unusable car sitting at the dealership.
