Disappointing quality

We have had nothing but problems with our ioniq 5. Battery issues, constant check engine lights, AC failed, strange emergency braking while driving and random check sensor warnings. My wife avoids driving it at all costs, I hardly ever pick it over our other vehicles. It has left us stranded twice and the dealer just says it doesn’t have any problems when we bring it in. Can’t wait until the lease is up, we will not be keeping it.

A very reliable and a high quality EV !

A good ride, polished spacious interior, high end electronics, reasonable acoustics, but a very marginal User Interface. e.g. I can adjust my seats but cannot store settings into my memory while driving!! I have to switch my driving to one pedal each time I start the car!

Generally satisfied

Comfortable ride and drive. 1st EV ownership. Range is overestimated. Charging easy. Locking system cumbersome. Had to add the rear wiper to the 2024 - definitely needed it. Cruise takes some getting use to. Easy and cheap to charge at home with Level 2 charger.

Will not buy nor recommend

Infrastructure is not ready for EV. Poor range in the winter months. Road usage tax each year in Pa is ridiculous. I will not buy another EV.

Ioniq lease coming from a truck

It was a great vehicle, comfortable,spacious,quiet and easy to drive. The only downside I had was the electric range was not enough to keep me from having to worry about it especially because electric range is noticeably worse on the freeway.

Our Ioniq 5 LTD. Has exceeded our expectations.

We love our Ioniq 5 LTD. Its handling and power are excellent. The ride is great, and it stops on a dime. The car is quite a smooth and has been trouble-free. The dealer’s service department has also been great. We would buy another if we needed another car.

2024 SEL trim. Overall a great car! Build quality and comfort is excellent. Unfortunately they removed a few thing for this trim in 2024 that are unacceptable at this price point. No center arm rest and no rest vents are basic features on vehicles half this price. Other than that is a great car

Ioniq 5

I have had my 2024 Ioniq 5 for over a year now, and have no complaints! I love it and it is perfect for my needs. I only drive 6 miles each way on my commute, but sometimes go back and forth twice during a day. Between that, my usual errands, and an occasional longer trip in our metropolitan area, I can usually get away with just charging once a week. I love the way the car drives and looks, and love all of the comfort and safety features.
