I like everything but the navigation system. And that is something that would be very easy to change. And it is the same inferior system that I have on my 2023 Santa Fe.

This vehicle is considerably larger than the Chevy Bolt it replaced, yet is more efficient and has much better range. It’s also more comfortable and quieter.

Ioniq5 Limited RWD is a nice car.

The 2024 Ioniq 5 is a very nice car. I have not had any problems with it too date. I only wish it had that rear windshield wiper like the 2025 version. But I can live without it

Want to like it, but too many issues.

I really wanted to love my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited. When it's working properly, it's a fantastic vehicle. It's comfortable, spacious, enjoyable to drive, and has plenty of great technology. Unfortunately, the ownership experience has been overshadowed by an unacceptable number of mechanical and electrical problems. In less than three years of ownership, I am currently on my fourth 12V battery. The ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) has also been replaced, I've had fuses replaced twice, and I was without the vehicle for an entire week while the air conditioning chiller was replaced. These aren't minor inconveniences. The repeated 12V battery failures have left the vehicle completely undriveable, creating significant disruptions to my schedule. Between these repairs and routine maintenance, the vehicle has been to the dealership approximately 13 times in less than three years. That's simply unacceptable for a vehicle at this price point. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I genuinely enjoy driving the Ioniq 5. When everything works, it's easily one of the most enjoyable vehicles I've owned. However, reliability is a major part of the ownership experience, and I shouldn't have to wonder whether my car is going to start or leave me stranded. I'm giving it three stars because the vehicle itself deserves credit for its design, comfort, performance, and driving experience. Unfortunately, the repeated failures prevent me from rating it any higher. As much as I like the Ioniq 5, these experiences have completely eliminated any desire to purchase it at the end of my lease or consider another Hyundai EV in the future. A great driving experience means very little if you can't depend on the vehicle to work.

So many features

My Ioniq can help me in many ways, including lightly guiding the wheel to the center of the road. As I age, that will help. I am currently 77 years old and in excellent health. I still haven't learned about all of the features.

All that we hoped for and more

Every aspect of our Ionic 5 has been a pleasure to drive and to own. The one thing I wish it had was a rear window wiper. I only miss it because previous cars we owned had one, though it was rarely used.

Great comfortable and smart car

I live that it has most premium specifications, it feels high quality, is very quick to charge, has a long lasting battery, super powerful. I only wish it had seat massagers and self driving... Asides from that great family or personal car. Super roomy!

Just a few more miles and it would be perfect

As a skier living in the West, 240 mile range just isn't enough to get me to (and back from) most areas in the dead of winter. 400 mile range, or perhaps a little less, would work very nicely.

Unable to fix severe safety issues

The car eats batteries and the dealership has been unable to fix the problem. This leaves a severe safety issue while driving the car that it may stop along the road.

Really like this car

I purchased this car a little over 2 years ago. It took a little getting used to charging more often than putting gas in the car, but with fuel prices what they are right now, I feel brilliant making this purchase. It replaces my Subaru Crosstrek. The Ionic 5 is fast and comfortable. It has more room than my Crosstrek. I have grown to love the iPedal (regenerative braking). The lane keeping could use some tweaking and I feel the interior has too much plastic, but everything else is great. Hyundai has really made a nice, fast charging, longer range, electric car.

excellent EV could be superb

I've enjoyed driving my Ioniq 5. Quiet ride, comfortable, fits my needs. It needs a little more range, and a few little ergonomic tweaks (e.g. rear door handles, shade for sunroof, more intuitive controls)
