Quality, Smooth Quiet Ride, Fun Acceleration, Useful and Useable Tech

In the Limited trim there is enough new Tech that it took a minute to find and configure the vehicle to our needs. Once done though, the safety and drivability tech has proven easy to use and great to have. We especially like that key audio and climate controls retain dedicated buttons, however, since they are touch screens rather than buttons, it can be distracting to put your finger in the right place. Some sort of texture or other clue would help. Blind spot monitoring is comprehensive with HUD, mirror, dash, and audible cues to avoid mistakes. Lane keeping is mostly unobtrusive and finds the right position. With lane keeping on, signalling a lane change results in what seems a somewhat abrupt move toward the selected lane. Seat comfort and custom positioning are good. Rear hip and leg room work for 3 adults on shorter drives. Storage behind the rear seat is a bit limited for this size car due to range improving batteries taking up space beneath most of the floor. Regen is just OK with fiddly controls. After four months, I’m still not entirely comfortable with it. It has four levels of regen. Increasing regen using the left paddle seems to hold back acceleration. Quickly tapping the left paddle increases the regen setting, while holding the left paddle temporarily increases regen to improve deceleration. It is too easy to inadvertently change your desired regen setting when that isn’t your intent.

Almost There!

Roomy, stylish with great 1 pedal driving (I-pedal Max), and mostly great features. Needs Dashcams like a Tesla. Better Supercharging than 127 KWh. I’ve never seen higher. Lane keep is a little too aggressive. Route planning is just OK.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 limited

We have owned this for about 6 months now and are very satisfied with the purchase and customer support. There is a steep learning curve to negotiate as this is our first EV, but we have been surprised at how easy the basics are. The features are endless and each one has made us grow to love the car even more.

Iccu failure on all car years inc 2926 will leave you stranded

My third ioniq5 and my 4th iccu failure. 4 weeks to get resolved every time Can't trust egmp platform cars ioniq5,6,9 ev3,4,6

Leasing Ioniq 5

I have thoroughly enjoyed driving my new 2025 Ioniq 5. The ride is smooth and the car's response is great. I have had two issues. I liked the white matte finish but I was not aware that I couldn't take it through a normal car wash until after I had leased it. As winter is upon us, I am not able to find a place to wash my car and hand washing in my driveway isn't possible either. The car looks dirty and cleaning the windshields has been a hassle. The other issue is I had the impression that getting the electrical plug in would be less expensive than the estimate I was given (over $2K). I've decided not to have the charging outlet in my home garage. Luckily, my work has a charging station so I am able to use it for the bulk of my recharging.

Almost perfect

I love my car. It handles beautifully, is very comfortable, is economical, and has great power. I hate that it does not have surround cameras. It is my fifth Hyundai, and the parking cameras are the worst. I do not understand why they are not standard on the Ioniq 5. If I had known I wasn't getting them, I would not have bought this car.

Amazing with few flaws

I wish this had better full self driving like the Tesla-even the Nissan Ariya has full geofenced hands off. A black headliner option is also missing and really should be available. I’d like more wheel options on the Limited trim. The lower leg support could be taller. A seat massage function is available on VW ID.4s at the same price point but not here. There is rattling from the dash and headliner shade roll areas. The rear carpet in the cargo area is very cheap. These are minor quibbles though. Love the car and its features.

Overall it's a great car, but Hyundai is missing a great opportunity to go after Subaru (especially the Crosstrek) with a car that has a much better EV system. Raise it up and tighten the turning radius.

Love, but fear for ICCU issues

We love the driving experience, but have had tech issues with the app, digital key, and plug-and-charge. We are also nervous about the probability of our car having the dreaded ICCU issue.

Perfect Experience

I was skeptical about getting an electric car, but the Ioniq 5 made it an easy transition. The physical buttons and touch screen features make it futuristic and easy to control features without constantly paying attention to screens. Visibility is perfect when driving, and very responsive safety features.

Love it! Drives great, Looks great!

I really love my Ioniq 5 Limited FWD. It drives great: smooth, responsive acceleration, comfortable ride, intuitive and reliable safety and convenience features( smart cruise control, lane keep assist, lane change assist, backup camera and cross traffic warnings). The interior looks cool and the heated and ventilated seats are awesome. There is enough room for my hobby stuff and for hauling reasonable things.

My first Electric Vehicle

There are tons to like about my first electric vehicle of any sort. In general the build quality seems to be first rate, though there are small nits to pick such as the way water makes it's way through the opened hatch and into the back of the car if it's been raining either currently or recently. I'm still getting use to how quiet the ride is and how smooth the acceleration is. I'm still getting familiar with all the functionality of the vehicle after 3 months but in general it feels like a pretty good set up.
