Easily the best driving car I’ve ever owned.

Like I said. It drives great, it’s very smooth. I love the instant torque from electric motors. The only thing I don’t love is o think eco mode has the smoothest driving, it I wish AWD lasted at higher speeds for that. An in between that plowed the AWD to be fully unlocked in eco would be great because for stop and go traffic like dirigible on large roads sport mode feels to jerky.

very happy but concerned. currently in the shop to replace the main battery after 16000 miles and 13 months. Sure it's covered by warranty but will be having to pay for gasoline for a month.

2024 Ioniq 5 (Leased)

Absolutely love driving it! Very responsive, comfortable seats, improvements for buttons for seat heating are great! And having the rear windshield wiper is a huge bonus, compared to the 2023. NOT liking the black interior, which shows every fingerprint, dust, etc. Not a big fan of the pop out exterior handles

Fix the charging system!

I was all good and fun untill ICCU died. Now car is at the dealer for a month and they do not have an estimate when it going to be fixed.

Powerful and Roomy

The Ioniq 5's acceleration is exhilarating. I can't believe how much I can load into this mid-sized vehicle when I have to. The only problems are the lack of a spare tire (not a problem until it actually is....) and the looming specter of a 12 volt or ICCU battery management failure. We have multiple Hyundai's in our extended family. Hyundai has the best warranty in the business, and it is likely you are going to need it. Annoying repetitive fails include multiple horn replacements and other electrical issues. All in all, still highly recommend.

DEATH TRAP

The car has so many electrical issues it is almost inconceivable. It has done everything from not charge to trying to drive me into oncoming traffic to unlocking and opening its doors by its own free will. Hyundai has covered none of it in their warranty.

Stopped Suddenly

In one year the car has suddenly stopped and could not be started. Once it was the ICCU unit that needed replacing, the second time the auxiliary battery was replaced.

Love this car!

My 2025 Ionia 5 is such a joy to drive. It is (mostly) totally silent, incredibly stable on the road, and has plenty of zip and range for my needs. The only very minor complaints that I have are a squeaky rear hatch, and an occasional quirky behavior of the driver interface. The dealer recently replaced the latch in an attempt to eliminate the squeak, but that did not work. They were very responsive after learning of the failed attempt to fix the squeak, and want to try again next time the car is in the shop. The interface quirkiness is what it is… I have learned to live with it.
