As fun as a Go Kart, but on some occasions just as rough!

Our new Hyundai Ioniq5, a mid-tier model (SEL), lacks some of the convenience features found in our previous luxury vehicle, such as memory seats. Despite this, it meets our needs and expectations overall. However, two issues would have given me pause before leasing it. First, the ride feels rough on bumpy roads, which are common in Southern California. Second, the initial acceleration from a complete stop is jerky, making it challenging to maneuver in tight spaces like garages or crowded parking lots. Drivers need to stay highly attentive to avoid potential collisions.

Amazing EV with a few quarks

Family of 4 and we mostly love the car. 2 adults, toddler, corgi dog. So much to love about the car. 3 issues that need attention. But overall amazing EV.

Great car with tech kinks and horrible dealer service

Love the car in many ways. But some common tech issues are so annoying. Constant reminders to "Keep your eyes on the road" when they are. Lane protector hugs the right side of the lane. Navigation is a great way to get to the wrong place.

Traded My Tesla for an Ioniq5

I love my new Ioniq5, but there are a few things I miss about my Tesla. Yes, the Tesla is semi-autonomous and the Ioniq5 is not, but I wish my Ioniq5 could understand voice commands to control car functions; turn off when the driver exits the car seat; have greater ground clearance especially in the front; have a real time display of the moving car in relation to cars and road features near it. That said, I am glad I traded my Tesla for an Ioniq5. It’s a beautiful car and fun to drive.

Bluelink is Awful

Customer service received from Bluelink is worse than the DMV. As a combat vet, I've never experienced this level of terrible service and that's including bootcamp haircuts.

Awesome Ride

My first experience driving an all electric car. Love the smooth gliding motion it provides. So glad I decided on another Hyundai and not the infamous Tesla. Love the sleek design of the dashboard in the Hyundai. No screen is directly in your face. And the best part is not having to go to a gas station. Had an electrical charger put in at home thru Hyundai and we also have solar, so it is the best of both worlds.

Pure Epicnessnessnessnessness

I LOVE MY IONIQ5. no regrets switching to an EV from my Dodge Challenger. I loved my challenger but the upkeep after warranty was brutal. Now Im in my Ioniq 5 and its been heaven. Drives smooth excellent range I was able to drive to San Diego and back to LA on 1 charge and still have enough juice to do my daily driving for 2 more days. Charging EVs since I dont have my home set up with charger isn't a chore theres a spot by my house 2 minutes away. I plug in and either watch movies on my phone or play a game on my handheld gaming device or get something to eat at one of the spots in the same lot. I've learned to make charging an outing rather than a chore. Getting back to the car all the safety features available when driving the car do make me feel more secure and at peace when on the road. Comfort gets a 10/10. Very spacious during the day my car is my office for work and theres plenty of room for me to work on my laptop comfortably. There's plenty of cargo space in the back to carry all my gear for work and still enough room for a grocery run. There are so many features on this car and I still ha ent explored them all but I having fun learning everything. Still have yet tried to have it parallel park for me still afraid I might scratch it. Someday ill try it. We'll that's it . Ioniq 5 gets a 10/10 from me.

Great car

It is a truly great car and fun to drive. The ease of plugging into my wall to power it can not be understated from a savings but really an annoyance avoidance. It helps that it has a great deal of pick up and go for a family car.

Auto-lock after 10 mins of exiting car

It would be nice if the Ioniq 5 had an auto-lock feature after 10 mins of all doors being closed. Since the handles stick out when doors are unblocked, it’s very obvious that the doors are unlocked.
