Great EV vehicle, worst misrepresentatio of the National EV tax credit

Auto is fantastic. However I will never again say anything positive about Hyundai and their cars and dealerships. I have experienced the WORST customer service in my lifetime related to auto brands, their programs and their dealers. Edmond Hyundai and Hyundai have failed to provide the IRS and myself the sales information related to receiving the eligible $7,500.00 tax credit as advertised nationally. Edmond Hyundai failed to provide the IRS the required information to allow buyers (me) to receive the tax credit. They clearly failed to ever provide the required Time of Sale report let alone within the required 3 days. Edmond Hyundai has refused to provide me with this mandated form receipt and Hyundai Inc. refuses to do anything to assist me in this folly. I have communicated with John your HCCM National Supervisor 5 times and Edmond Hyundai over 15 times trying to find a solution. Luke Gavin has refused to meet with me (Edmond Hyundai's General Manager) and I have requested this meeting with him 4 times. The IRS Advocate I have been communicating over this case verified that I submitted everything correctly but Edmond Hyundai failed to ever let alone withing the 3 day requirement provide both me and them. I have purchased 11 Hyundai vehicles from Hyundai, 6 of them from this dealership. I will NEVER say another positive thing about your company or Edmond Hyundai unless you do something to resolve this HORRENDUS lack of customer satisfaction. 5 star rating, what a joke! I'd love to have your North America President look at this issue and tell me you have tried to resolve this issue. I DARE YOU TO LET HIM LOOK AT THIS SITUATION AND DISCUSS IT WITH ME! I will never receive any assistance so I will have to do what I have to to let our court system look at your program!

After 23 mo 11.3 kmi. Love the car

This is surely the most practical car I’ve owned. I’ve been a bit of a hot rider all my life and have driven BMW Mcar for the last 30 yrs. My Ioniq5 RED LTD is not an Mcar but I drive it every day and I love it. The fact that it’s an EV aside it’s an amazingly practical car. Sport enough, yet very practical. I do not think I would go back to an ICEA car again.

Great First EV

The Ioniq5 is a great first EV. Feature rich, easy to live with, very comfortable and very flexible to use. It has a unique design language that isn't 'me too' while not sacrificing functionality or familiarity. I personally, have not had any issue with it in the first 10k miles but am aware that there are consistent reports of issues with the electrical charging systems that can be difficult to deal with.

Review of Ioniq 2025 LTD

I like the car OK and I bought it because of better range, faster charging, better charging network and A2Z electric capability. But the list of my 'cons' below will make me think very hard about buying another one if there is a car that fixes those issues for me. I like the car but it is THE most FRUSTRATING car I have ever owned.

Solid all around, missing a few key items

Strengths: Drive quality, range, cargo space, headroom, rear passenger seating room Weaknesses: --The one thing that will keep me from buying/leasing this car again is the lack of memory seating on the SEL trim associated with driver profile. I am 6'2" and my wife is a foot shorter than me. The time and inconvenience of having to switch the seat manually every time we use the car is a total pain -- especially when my much older 2015 Acura RDX (without the tech package) does it seamlessly. That car begins moving the seat as soon as the key fob is used to unlock the door. --Driver profiles should also sense who is opening the car and automatically hook up the phone bluetooth to whoever is driving. Too often we get in the car with me as the driver (and my profile already set), and the car connects with my wife's phone instead. That's even when I am using my phone to open the car., rather than the fob. --Styling is becoming dated, and needs a refresh.

Great car except for ICCU failure and slow repair

I was worried about the ICCU problem but leased anyway. After 5 months the ICCU failed and the car had to be towed. Part wasn't available so I waited for repair. Car is now fixed but I worry it might happen again. Too bad, because otherwise the car is great.

I love it BUT……

I love everything about my Ionic 5 except two things and they are almost inexcusable on the part of the designers: 1. The poor viewability of the climate control panel is UNSAFE! The combination of a highly reflective vertically convex lense on top of a display with inadequate brightness makes it impossible to see both the displayed values or the touch button labels under most sunny day conditions. The convex shape means that there is almost always a sun angle that will reflect into the driver’s eyes. Trying to make climate control adjustments under these conditions is distracting and takes the drivers eyes off the road while trying to locate the appropriate touch button. Additionally, the high-gloss low contrast finish on the mechanical buttons immediately above this panel are frequently unreadable in high sunlight conditions. This is just plainly poor ergonomic design and the use of a poor display technology with inadequate brightness and contrast. Shame on the Hyundai product designers that place more value on shiny surfaces than on driver viewability. 2. I wear glasses and the highway driving assistant eye sensors frequently start telling me to keep my eyes on the road due to what I presume to be reflections off of my glasses even when my eyes are clearly focussed on the road ahead. These warnings go away if I take off my glasses (which are also my sun glasses or turn off the automatic lane centering system. This is an unacceptable design ERROR! The fact that Hyundai has allowed these two deficiencies to propagate across multiple model years tells me that something is severely wrong within the Hyundai design world. These deficiencies are highly inconsistent with what is otherwise a superbly designed car that I really love. I will NOT BE RENEWING OR BUYING OUT MY LEASE after two years due to these two incredibly annoying and unsafe deficiencies.
