1st EV

This is my first EV and I made the right decision! My sister bought one after me. Easy to charge overnight.

Thoughtfully built and a dream to drive

This car is such a pleasure to drive. Smooth and quiet and semi-autonomous cruise control really helps to reduce stress when driving long distances. The range is great and the car is built to keep you safe in so many ways. We are pleased.

My Second Ionic 5 Better than first

I think my 2026 was built at Georgia facility...much higher level of fit and finish. Love the car. Fun to drive. Hmmmmm...not a single negative I can think of. Oh yeah, had trouble getting CarPlay to work but eventually figured it out.

Interior is great. Drive train and exterior are ok.

Looks better on the inside than the outside. Traction control intermittently stops functioning causing the car to swerve.

Review - 2026 Ioniq 5 SEL - white

Overall happy with the car. I did notice after having it about one month an obvious paint defect in one area near charging port which appears to be a circular area about 2 inches diameter where there is no clearcoat and appears dull/not shiny. Don’t know how that passed quality control.

Hello Annete,

Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking to improve our customer experience and appreciate any input from our customers. You can try using vinegar sprayed on the mirror and wipe off with a microfiber cloth. ^cc

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 - My first EV

I'm three months in and have found it's generally a nice vehicle. As my first EV, driving was very similar to my past traditional vehicles so I found it easy to adjust to the nuanced differences.
