My second Ioniq 5, it will not be my last

This is my second Ioniq 5 replacing the 2023 that just completed his lease. I loved the first model, and love the second one even more. There are about 30 updates to it that have improved the car, yet the price has gone down by about 15%. This car is just a pure joy to own and to drive, I will never be buying another gas-powered car again for sure!

Nothing like my Dodge Hellcat, but still pretty fun to drive!

Comfortable, fun to drive, safety features, wish the interior (door panels specifically) was easier to keep clean

Gorgeous, Luxury Vehicle

Previously owned a Kona EV, and dreamed of owning an Ionic 5. I traded in, purchased the Limited model and remain excited and proud each time I walk to open the door, It has every modern safety feature, has gorgeous white faux leather upholstery with a super elegant blue painted exterior. It is a comfortable drive and ride and exceeds my expectations. This car is a competitor to all name brand luxury EVs but half the cost. Go buy one today!

Broken within 2 months

The ICCU problems are AWFUL. Hyundai should be embarrassed it's still releasing a car with these problems years after it was first made known. Shame on you.

smooth ride but...

A nice ride but there are many improvements to be made. First and foremost is the key fob. If Hyundai wanted to make millions (more) dollars, they would sell a slim key fob as an alternative to the boulder sized key fob we owners all have to carry. The rear view camera is partially obstructed by the license plate. But that issue pales in comparison to the ridiculous key fob.

After I leased the car, I read a New York Times piece reviewing 11 of the best electric cars on the market. They rated the Hyundai Ioniq 5 number one. I was so pleased, but not surprised. It's a great car.

Great, well built, well balanced, fun and attractive car

The Ioniq 5 is a joy to drive and easy to live with. It is an easy EV to deal with, charges quickly and can access most Tesla DC fast chargers. The Ioniq handles well on back roads, in the snow and on dirt roads. Something that Hyundai could improve on is the phone app - not as user friendly as the Tesla app (and the car needs dog and sentry modes).

Very happy with my Ioniq 5

I am very happy with my Ioniq 5. I had been leasing a Tesla Model 3 and am very happy with the switch I made to buy an Ioniq 5. It is an excellent EV with that incredibly fast, quiet, and smooth acceleration. The interior is very comfortable, and in fact my passengers like the ride quite a bit more than the Model 3.

Going electric

If you ever want a better driving experience, rent a Ioniq 5 or a Kona electric. We rented a Kona while on vacation and were struck by how quiet it was that the sight lines out of the car were great. And it seemed like it had an unlimited charge, and it was fun to drive. When I came to change my commuter Impreza. I looked at the Ioniq 5, it does everything the Kobe did but better. Inside it looks like a 50 k car but it’s half the price and I will hopefully spend next to nothing on fuel and maintenance. As a commuter I don’t think you can do better. If you can swing an extra 10k you might want to try the dual motor. That might be fun owning a large pocket rocket.

Easy Transition From Internal Combustion Engine

Ergonomics, display layout, and computer analytics easy to use. Jury is out for a road trip and possible range anxiety. I have not used a public charge station yet, except at the mall with free Level 2. One body panel is not even, otherwise the build quality is very high.
