Great car but no charger

Love my car but the charger was not working so we had to order a new one. Six weeks later still no charger so we have to go to charging stations to charge our brand new 2026 $ 40,000 car

So powerful

I purchased the Limited edition and it has every safety and creature feature that I can imagine. It is bigger on the inside than it appears from outside. I was first drawn to the KIA E 6 for styling but the Ionic 5 has all the same features on a roomier package. It has dual motors and the acceleration and responsiveness is the best I have experienced including a Nissan Maxima- by far. It’s very FUN to drive.

Delivers -

The ride is comfortable and quiet, with lots of space in the back. This is my first EV and I am sold. The range is also very satisfactory. I like the display as I have eschewed the most popular EV due to the single center Tablet display that I find dangerous and annoying.

Excellent Small SUV EV

THis car seems like a very nice crossover from someone new to EVs. The dash setup is more conventional than other EVs that we drove (e.g., Tesla and MachE have the "iPad" control system with little to no contextual controls). Many nice features that I am sure most 2026 year cars have (including gas powered versions). Very comfortable and I particularly like that the charging port conforms to the Tesla form factor making it seamless to charge on the road at Tesla stations.

Nice Vehicle, terrible support and dealership experience

Price changed in the last minute when i was about to pay at dealership. Broken charger that could not get replaced yet despite a visit to dealeshp service. their suggestion after waiting 45 min was to wait 1.5h more because it was lunch break, and if i wanted something fast i should buy a new charger. while this is dealership, is part of the brand an experience

A good choice in today's EV landscape

The 2026 Ioniq5 SEL AWD is an excellent car. It feels solidly planted on the road, handles curves without body sway, is very quiet on the highway, and has the combination of good range and fast DC Fast charging that makes it a good road tripper. Around town it drives easily, is efficient, and provides effortless travel in congested streets and stop and go driving.

Great car mostly

This is a great car with a couple of hiccups. The negative issues deal with the display and entertainment system. The radio on and off and volume controls are backwards. You turn the radio on and off by using the volume control and you change stations by turning the on and off control. The display panel seemed goes dark and light randomly. After a few weeks of driving I believe this happens because the display is slow to respond to the shade you encounter when passing under overpasses. I bet there is a recall on this sensor in the future if not already issued.

Premium but Budget EV

I love driving this car! It's a smooth and quiet ride, with easy to use Carplay and app features, plus it feels super spacious inside (despite having a pretty small footprint for a hatchback). We have a Tesla charger at home, so charging at home is completely integrated into our existing system. The UI of the dashboard is a little clunky at times (it's not the most intuitive to find charging settings), but overall this is perfect lease that meets my needs.

2026 Ioniq 5 limited

There is very good and some negatives. There good: Drives quietly, Handles well in the curves without throwing its weight around. Renders most pot holes and road road imperfections smoothly Love the 1 pedal drive wish it stayed there after going into reverse Love the light interior and the layout. Has the heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seats which are essential to an EV visibility is awesome. Panoramic roof with sunshade is nice touch. And of course all the safety feature. Only 1 feature lacking, keeping driunks and distracted drivers off the road. Nothing to do with Hyundai though. Very Comfortable to drive long distances without being fatigued. Comfortable and sort for back passengers as well. The HDA system is vastly improved over my 2022 Kia EV6 so a major improvement to first generation of EV6 & Ioniq 5’s The bad:: oh that bluelink app just sucks. Lacks versatility and lacking so much information the driver would like to access. Don’t get me started on the key fob. Ugly, cumbersome and stupidly design with the key not part of Fob. Then it’s nice you have a digital key but can’t use key to move vehicle forward or backwards so a C on digital key. Oh most times it works but can be inconsistent. Hyundai has vastly improved i disaster and EV charging route planning. But still not as good as others. Wish it would be easier to pick EV operators to use as well. Bigger frunk would be a plus as well. Wireless CarPlay may drop well using it. You will need to reboot phone if that happens. OVERALL A GREAT CAR. One other issue one should be aware of is the sword of Damocles hanging over your head that the ICCU issue personally has no issues on my Kia ev 6 cruising fingers for the Hyundai.

First 60 Days Experience

Love the exterior design and the comfortable interior—both really stand out. However, there are a few glitches that create inconvenience in day-to-day use. For example, the car doesn’t always unlock on the first attempt and may require multiple tries. Similarly, the touch-to-lock feature on the door handle can be inconsistent, often requiring the key fob to lock the vehicle instead. The proximity unlock also lacks sensitivity, sometimes taking a few seconds even when you’re right by the door. Additionally, while driving, there are occasional issues when shifting into drive or reverse, where the system seems to lag and requires several attempts before it engages properly.

Great (and under appreciated) car

To be frank, I think the outside of this car is ugly. I don’t care at all, but, alas, it therefore doesn’t get the notice it deserves. In all other respects it is excellent. The interior is wonderfully spacious and bright. It is comfortable and a pleasure to drive. And the range is excellent and true to that advertised, something sadly not true of some electric vehicles (including one we own, the Volvo EV 30, which compares unfavorably with the Ioniq 5). In short, I couldn’t recommend the car more. (A friend who I introduced to the car promptly bought one.)

the only thing wrong with it is that there is no massage seat function

I love my Ioniq 5. It is a great ev, fantastic range, charges easily, is roomy. the only thing I could ask for is that it have massage seats. Ok, it could be a little cuter on the outside...I'm not entirely a fan of that part.
