Worst Experience Ever - No More Hyundai

The lease was terminated prematurely due to persistent and erratic vehicle behavior originating from the front bumper flapper and front dash system. After a dashboard fault code appeared, the vehicle was taken to a local Hyundai dealer, where it remained out of service for approximately two months. Per the service lead, the issue required replacement of the entire dashboard wiring harness and escalation to Hyundai’s technical team for troubleshooting, indicating a systemic design or integration failure rather than an isolated defect. During this period, the customer was not provided transparent or complete information regarding the scope or severity of the issue. As an electrical engineer with prior automotive industry experience, it is evident that the vehicle suffers from poor design-for-assembly (DFA) and integration issues within the front dash architecture, including systems related to active collision avoidance, front-facing cameras, and associated sensors. These appear to be inherent design flaws rather than service-induced failures. A formal request for lease termination was submitted to Hyundai and denied. As a result, we elected to immediately dispose of the vehicle and transition to a Lexus. Based on this experience, I will not consider Hyundai vehicles in the future.

Great car! Minor items I wish they would change.

I love this car as does my husband. They did a great remodel of the 2023 Santa Fe and I love how the exterior looks. It's spacious, has a night front dashboard that's easy to use, a lot of storage up front, and room for the 3rd row seaters. Some things that bother me is that the trunk space is very small when the 3rd row is up making it hard for road trips. It also doesn't have heat to the 3rd row- only cold air control. It also has some things that would be nice to fix with the smart controls such as a "bike rack" mode so it doesn't automatically stop on you when you back up.

Great all-around SUV

This vehicle has great technology, although it is sometimes tricky to use when connecting to devices. Great gas mileage as it is a hybrid. I have taken the vehicle on two very long road trips (over 5,000 miles each) in extreme weather conditions (both in freezing, snowy conditions and in over 115 heat) without issue. I highly recommend this vehicle.

10 months in I love my Santa Fe Hybrid so much

Feels so solid and smooth when driving. Feels very lux. Love the easy transition from 2 to 3 rows -- go back and forth all the time. Kids love the heated bucket seats. Love all the safety features including all the cameras -- e.g. when I put blinker on the camera goes and on and beeps if there is someone in the lane beside me. Love how it looks -- cool and sporty. Back view leaves something to be desired, but that's ok. The white interior and the sun and moon roof make it feel SO spacious -- I often feel carsick when I'm a passenger and I don't in this car! Gas mileage is awesome. 550 miles on a tank!

I have owned over 7 SUV s including 2 other Santa Fe . This is the best one yet. The hybrid does not disappoint. The interior space is great (I am 6ft 4). Driving characteristics are great . No disappointments

This car is comfy and MPG is over 37 if you know how to drive it.

So far, I have 17,400 miles on it and I averaged 37.4mpg so far. If you know how to drive a hybrid car, you will save on gas. If you drive aggressively, you will not get the 37.4mpg that I got. The vehicle gets very good mpg around 58 deg F outside temperature. MPG gets worse with low temperature. When you drive it, you should remove your food from the gas to trigger EV mode, then use the regenerative braking paddle to slow down the vehicle and charge the battery. So far, very happy with the vehicle.

Nice driving safety assist features, it could use a stronger engine with more horsepower to move 7 passengers and luggage. Losses MPG if going speed is over 65 miles

Your user interface is very very unusable

The auto climate, that auto turns to full blast and loud fan every time i turn on the car The radio interface that lists all 50 local radio stations across 10 screens, but has no discernible way to select the 5 or 8 that i like and have them on easy to access buttons The safety features that send up an error code and ding every 5 minutes during storms and snow - do you think having a random ding every 5 minutes while driving through a snow storm is somehow useful? I know the radar is blocked, the car is covered with snow, leave me alone! I still have no idea what the “media” button does. Sometimes it changes over to viewing my cell phone, sometimes it takes me to the nature sounds screen, sometimes it does nothing useful and comes ip with a random choice. But no e of those seem to coincide with the word “media” And the driver set padding is a bit thin and is getting thinner as time goes on
