Perfect size for a slightly smaller SUV

Love this car. After 4 Lexus RX’s over the years I wanted something a bit smaller easier to handle and fun to drive, BUT most importantly I wanted a seat that felt like it fit me. Between the way the seat wraps around you and ease of handling all the electronics available its easy to drive. We went to Genesis to buy a GV80 but felt it was very similar to a Lexus RX just a bit bigger and the seat was just a basic car seat, not that comfortable. We got the cloth seats which breath nicely, next time though we will get the leather ones - more durable.

Overall Recommended!

The GV70 is easy to drive. It’s front seats are roomy (the back, not so much), it’s a quiet ride, and it has a smooth ride. Blind spots are minimal. The cloth seats aren’t comfortable as the fabric is somewhat itchy. The leather would have been a better choice. It has too much “technology” and the placement of the camera displays aren’t in the most desirable spots. The sunroof operation is a little clunky. Overall though, it’s a great vehicle and nicer than it’s competitors.

great car bad infotainment

I really liked the car and hated the infotainment. It took a year to get wireless carplay and even then it crashed all the time or didn't connect 1/4 of the time.

nice ride

had an issue with the water pump and the turbo so lost power dramatically. Fixed by the dealership. Genesis Connected Services has NEVER worked. Rides nice and I like the driver assist features.

Good looking and nice drive. Poor GPS and mapping

My biggest complaint is the GPS system and map. There is no map with streets. Just shapes indicating buildings. I cannot get rid of the options which say avoid ferries and HOV lanes.

nice car once you get all the silly stuff turned off

the car is nicely designed. Drives and handles well. Controls are less than intuitive - tech support often useless in figuring them out. Self driving features other than adaptive cruise control are not well thought out - but once turned off car is quite good
