2024 Genesis GV70 - High Expectations

I purchased the GV70 after 4+ years of driving the G70. I loved everything about my G70, and I've never been drawn to SUV's, but after an accident totaled my G70, I felt the GV70 was the right choice from a safety perspective, and the exterior design is flawless. We recently went on a road trip with the our GV70 and from a comfort and performance perspective, it was perfect. Some of the best features are the climate control system, the connected services, the interactive display, and the safety features such as the smart cruise control, although it sometimes hesitates too much around a curve. The Genesis navigation system is surprisingly disappointing, particularly given how graphically stunning every other aspect of the interactive display is.

The Best Vehicle Ever!!

My GV70 3.5T Sports Prestige is the best vehicle I have ever had. It's bold, beautiful and classy!! When I drive up, it makes a statement. I receive multiple compliments every time I drive it. But, most importantly, it's reliable, safe, the multiple-surrounding cameras, infotainment and all its remaining features are phenomenal!

It is primarily good but I have a few beefs.

The blue back lighting on dashboard buttons is impossible to see. My model is not equipped with. Frontal warning system. I understand it will stop if I get too close but I’d like to stop sooner than that. In lieu of a 360 camera, this should be on the car. I also require a higher seat option. You only put that on a more expensive version but there are lots of short people who need that. It shouldn’t be a luxury.

Extremely disappointed

The cluster blacked out on me just 3-4 months into purchasing the vehicle. Luckily it came back on on its own, but did it again another time or two. About 14-16 months into this brand new car it left my dog and I stranded at the park after dark. I eventually got it to turn on but the cluster display was again blacked out didnt turn on after 2 days so I took it to the dealership. Took 3 weeks to get my car back. Not even a week later cluster goes out again. This time it took about 2 weeks to get my car back and sure enough 4 days later again I'm driving with no cluster, no sensors, no working buttons on the right side if the driver, trunk doesn't open, the other screen stays on camera mode super distracting to drive like that. Everyime the cluster has gone out everything else goes out. Absolutely terrible, embarrassing, heartbreaking, and all safety to drive my car is out the window because who knows when it's gonna decide not to work. It's currently at the shop as I write this review.
