Genesis GV70
I have had my GV 70 less than one year. I have had it into the shop a minimum of three times. This last time I had not started the car for a week and the battery was dead. I was locked out of my car and I tried to call the dealership numerous times with no one answering the phone and text messages not being returned in a timely fashion. I finally called AAA. They came and were able to get into my car which I was locked out of and start it. They tested the battery and it tested bad. I drove the car to the dealership at which point they had just called me and I told them I was on my way. When I got there, they were very cordial and said they would put my car on a charger to see if it would hold a charge and check the battery. They told me it would take several hours and they could take me home but that they did not have a car to loan me. I explained I had just gotten out of the hospital and had numerous stitches and could not be without a car in case I needed to go back. They said there was nothing they could do and I said I would wait for my car to be tested and if needed, I would wait there until they had a loaner car available. They put my car on a charger and came out to tell me that it would not hold a charge and the battery was bad. They did not have any batteries available and could give me a ride home but no car was available for loan. That evening, I did receive a call telling me they would get me a car when the first one became available. I would not have to wait in line due to my health problems. Later that evening I received a text letting me know the battery should be in in approximately 1 week. The next morning, I received a text that I would have a loaner car that morning and they did come through with a loaner at noon. Since then, they said a battery should be available within a day or two.
I just want to say that your representatives were very courteous, but the fact that your dealership does not answer their phones or return texts in a timely fashion or even carry batteries for the cars they sell knowing that there is a problem with the batteries is totally unacceptable.
