A Great Car All Around

My Ioniq 5 is the best car I've ever driven, even better than my 2019 Kona EV (which was lost in an accident.). I've been a big fan of EVs since I first bought my Kona. EVs are far superior to gasoline models in terms of economy, reliability, and maintenance. I've driven my Ioniq 5 for over 1 1/2 years and have had no maintenance problems. Zero. I've had the car checked at my Hyundai dealer and it has come back with a clean slate. (No oil changes, no radiator problems or overheating, no sparkplugs, no mufflers or tailpipes. You get the idea.) The car drives very well--quiet, smooth, responsive. It's roomy and comfortable. I like its distinctive looks, too. The only complaint I have is that I wish the car had more range. I rarely get to 250 miles of range, l unless I charge it to 100%, which I only do when I'm taking a long trip. I'm a careful driver and use ECO mode most often. The major problem I have as an EV driver (not unique to the Ioniq 5) is the terrible charging infrastructure in the United State. It's improved over the last several years, but is far short of acceptable. I don't know why there aren't more Ioniq 5s on the road.

Great car , a few issues

2 years and 41,000 miles. Fun and fast to drive. Great in the snow with studded tires. Still getting great mileage. Biggest fault is lack of rear wiper. I finally installed a gecko aftermarket wiper which has worked well.

Great car, dealership is horrible

The car works great, have had no issues with it other than the dealership being shady. I love the brand and car, hate having to go to a dealership.

Almost excellent 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited.

The 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited is an impressive vehicle, however I have experienced the following unforgiving flaws. 1)Lack of rear windshield wiper; 2) poor quality underbody cover which protects the rear traction motor; 3) faulty front wiper motor; 3) very sensitive lane assistance feature;

Very comfortable car to drive. Good room inside. The analog cotrols are good, the electronic controls are misplaced or too difficult to find. The app is always slow to connect and barely useful. The turning radius is too long making the small car difficult to park.

Great Car - But Total Lack of Customer Responsiveness on Product Offer

Great car. Love it! But there was absolutely no response on a customer problem from whatever Hyundai group manages email communications to new customers. A "special offer" was announced. After many tries, and no results, I gave up in trying to get the offer. In contrast, my prior cars were Honda's. They handled customer communications fully. They were professional and always responsive. In this case, no one responded; I couldn't even get a person to reply, call, listen.

Faulty ICCU makes this vehicle a lemon.

Fun vehicle to drive with some interesting cosmetics but the vehicle design is flawed. The ICCU breaks down in extreme cold and heat which occurred in the first 18k miles. The lack of a rear windshield wiper is a safety concern. The technology for the wireless charging is already outdated. Customer Service was rarely helpful and have different feedback for the same issue on multiple similar calls. Overall, a bad experience with this vehicle, company and service departments.
