Great car with 1 major issue

Awesome car except for the ongoing problem of dependability with ICCU unit . This problem should have been resolved by now . It's know weak point for over 3 years & Hyundai can't seem to figure out how get it fixed . Does Hyundai really care about it customers ? Hard to say based on how they care . Hyundai is not very transparant & willing share why the ICCU part is still failing at a high rate , basically 10 to 15 % of the Ioniq 5 cars sold per year will have the ICCU fail & leave you stranded . Feel like you're driving a car that can stop working at any moment. Also, to make things worse the ICCU part is rarely in stock at your dealer , so you end waiting 4 to 8 weeks to get it replaced. Hyundai's inabilty to resolve this documented & know flaw doesn't inspire trust or confidence in build quality when you're looking to purchase a EV

Awesome EV

I’ll never go back to an internal combustion engine vehicle. The car is so quiet and comfortable. I traded in a BMW 530i because of the excessive cost of repairs. This car drives as well.

The Ioniq 5 is a winner

When we went to Hyundai to look at a car we couldn’t have imagined that the Ioniq5 XRT would be our next car. After our test drive we were impressed with the ride quality and how quiet the car is and the power was very impressive as well. We’ve had our Ioniq 5 for almost 3 months and are very happy with it. The tech is first class and the build quality seems very good I do have to say there is a learning curve when driving it it’s much easier to speed if your not paying attention to the odometer. The charging is easy and the speed at a super charger is nice. We really wonder why we didn’t go electric sooner. Thank you Hyundai for an awesome car.

Just a few things make this not to be a perfect vehicle

The car is great, except for not automatically locking when you walk away, the delay in the profile screen coming up/connecting, and the car unlocking every time you walk past the car. Also, no wiring harness is available for towing.

Wonderful except for...

Great car. Great range. Comfortable, reliable. The only issue is the obtuse setup menus. Apple p[lay disappears when a short blue tooth interruption occurs. Can't restart it while driving without taking eyes off the road. Car should restart with last settings for everything, when it was turned off. Why does my wife's keys do not open doors when approaching, my keys don't unlock all doors?. Simple things like that are annoying, especially on a great car.

Good. But I wish it were better

Over all I do enjoy this vehicle. It's comfortable and has a smooth quiet ride. But, know what was removed from the previous year is disappointing. I'd also like to point out how plasticy the touch points and door cards can feel. The sound system is abysmal. I think, if you were going to remove some of features that the 2025 model had you cold have perhaps upgraded the interior (soft touch) and put in the center speaker and the subwoofer (non-Bose) to make it feel less like a low trim vehicle.

Almost perfect

Almost everything about this is an improvement over previous models. There are two noticeable exceptions though, the eye tracking is unreliable if you wear glasses. The settings imply you can turn it off, but it stays on while using cruise or lane keep. The wireless charger pad doesn't provide sufficient charging speed to even maintain a charge.
