Poor manual lift gate open n close, no auto door lock

When car is unlocked it’s clear sign for the thief to know this car is unlocked and also there is no auto lock if car is not locked in my SL VERSION Related to my lift gate, when lot of dust there is no way to close without touching dust having door, the place where inside they kept handle to close is not good n easy usable

2nd Ioniq 5 - just gets better

This is my second Ioniq 5 - outstanding EV, had a 2023 limited, traded in for 2026 SEL. Limited was great, more features then I would use, like the smoother ride and more range from 19” tires.

Best car we've ever owned, so far

Don't let the rumors of an "EV premium" fool you! We got our Ioniq 5 Limited for the price of a Camry or Accord, with all the bells and whistles! It's a fabulous car at every level. The 2026 addition of the NACS connector is a nice improvement, too.

Smooth Sailing

We love all the features, especially the safety options. Our Ioniq 5 rides so nicely and is quite quiet in comparison with the RAV 4 we previously owned. I miss having more interior space like. the RAV4.

Better and better

Lots of great updates to the 2026 over the 2024.... Listening to the consumer! Two things though ... The no auto lock when walk away is a thing that remains AND more frustrating is the new "Tesla" charge plug and adapters now needed... Not the adapters so much but the fact that we can't go to ALL Tesla charging stations and so use adapter more than not. Very upsetting PLUS unless check Tesla app, the Hyundai one tells you where the Tesla chargers are but not just the ones we can go to ... Have gone to wrong ones because of this. A learning curve .

Love my Ionic 5

I am quite pleased with my new EV. I've driven an EV for 5 years and traded up from an old Bolt for more range and faster charging. It's comfortable, larger, with more bells and whistles. Love it!

2026 HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 SEL

First BEV, definitely a learning curve but overall good vehicle for transition from hybrid. Use the 1 pedal mode for driving, wish it was a little more aggressive or have the ability to set different levels on the regen braking. As with most EV in this price range the suspension is always the compromise, especially over curbs and rough surfaces. Stay on nice roads and it drives super smooth. A great daily EV.

I love how quick the SEL model is. I have unfortunately never had the opportunity to charge the claimed fast charge time and percentage as neither Electrify America nor Tesla was able to get the DC up to claimed. I miss my heated steering wheel, but I love the addition of the rear wiper. It was the biggest complaint for me from my 2024 SEL Ioniq 5. I did notice that the 2026 Ioniq 5 is not as quiet my my 2024 model, but I guess thats cost-cutting for you. I also noticed that my windows condensate on the interior, as well as on the exterior during inclement weather, which leads me to wonder if there is an issue with regards to seals.

Dalton Dealer Pulls a Bait and Switch

We fell in love with the Ioniq 5 Limited in Blue with light grey interior. We couldn't find one in Arizona, where we live, so we searched the southwest and found one at Dalton in San Diego. We negotiated a deal on a specific VIN , signed all the paperwork and arranged for shipping. The car we received was an older demo unit with 69 miles on it and a black interior, not they grey we agreed to! We hadn't noticed that they had pulled the bait and switch when we signed all the paperwork to close the deal by the end of February. We tried to settle the Bait and switch claim with Sales Managers at Dalton, but the reasonable request of $500 compensation, was ignored. We love everything else about the car, but are surprised and ashamed that Hyundai allows such illegal and unscrupulous practices at its dealers!

Great, but..................

A week or more after picking it up there was an annoying rattle in the rear of the vehicle. It was on the right side of the (if you were facing forward in the passenger side of the from). We took it in. It was attributed to the tailgate. Adjustments were made, that fixed it. We were even shown how two make adjustments to extendable "plugs" (my term), one on each side of the bottom inside edge of the tailgate. This fix lasted about a week before the rattle started again. We tried making adjustments ourselves and have limited success. It keeps re-occuring. We plan to take it in again after we get back from a tour in Scotland. That would be some time in early June '26. If we can't get a permanent fix, we might turn the car (on a 3-year lease) in.

Good drive, frustrating safety features

The drive and comfort is great. The facial recognition to pay attention while wearing prescription glasses is frustrating. The stock Bose sound system could use some help, unexpected that my Kona limited had better sound.
