My review of Hyundai hybrid 2024

Overall love it. Not sure if the paint will hold up. Seems to get a lot of discoloration even when waxed. Doesn't feel as solid as my Honda but I knew this when I bought it. Good value for the money. Decent acceleration with the hybrid unless you are nearly stopped then there is a lag.

2024 Tucson is Great aride

Very satisfied with our Tucson hybrid. The engine is so quiet that you can barely hear it running. Great gas mileage . Comfortable quiet ride. The only issue we have had was the air conditioner. The Service Dept replaced a part that didn't allow to.kick in to air conditioning. IT has been lots better. But still takes a while for full on cold air to kick in

Not to my expectations.

Was expecting better fuel mileage for a hybrid. When traveling long distance on the highway the Tucson hybrid doesn’t get the fuel mileage you would think a hybrid would get. Great in city, you could honestly make a tank last awhile as long as you don’t have a lead foot and let the hybrid system do its thing. As for the noise level in the cabin i think it was pretty loud for a newer car. I purchased some weatherstripping specifically to dampen the wind/outside noise. It helped a little. I know the car is a little smaller but you felt just about every bump and crack in the road and the tires were still good. It never dawned on me how the hybrid system would affect the heater from warming up when it’s cold outside. So unless you’re driving continuously the heater will take forever to warm up. My daughter would also complain the heater wouldn’t get hot. I drove it and realized because in city the hybrid system is being used majority of the time so the engine doesn’t warm up quickly. The last thing is the beeping or noise when you’re backing up. Most annoying thing ever. I get the point, for people that are just blind and not paying attention to their surroundings. Would I buy another hybrid? Most likely not, I just stick to non hybrid gas/diesel vehicles.

The Great Tucson

My 2024 Tucson is a great SUV, although I also really like the updates to the 2025-26. I shopped most comparable competitors & feel the Tucson was the right choice.

Great car with some shortcomings…

I like the vehicle. However, advertised gas mileage is not as expected. I am gentle on my accelerator and I get 30 mpg on average. Not bad. It not much better than a non-hybrid. It’s about 7 or 8 mpg worse than advertised. In the winter it’s even worse. I have 17k miles on it and it needed a new horn and right rear shock. Covered under warranty but still concerning.

Battery issue colors review

I love this car but on Sunday, June 28, the battery failed on a 2 year old car with 26,000 miles on it. We were stranded in California waiting for the Kearny Hyundai dealership in San Diego to service the car - which they did not do until Wednesday afternoon and only after much begging and pleading on our part, and hotel and Uber charges we had not planned for. The ratings would have all been 10's but for our experience with the car and the treatment by the dealership this past week.

Frustrating to have to manually restart the battery after 10 day trip

I love my Tucson and all the safety features and comforts. The only issue is having to pop off the door knob to restart the batter after returning from vacation. There should be a way to remotely turn on and off the car from across the world
