Good value vehicle

My wife and I purchased this car as our last car was stolen and we needed something that would get us around, be reliable, and not expensive. We drive a lot, so the vehicle needs to expect to be put to use. We have had our Tucson for almost 2 years now and have been pleased with it. The ride is comfortable, the performance is acceptable (we came from R/T Charger, so it can't compare to that), and the reliability has been good so far. If you have young children, this vehicle might be a little cramped for you, but we do not so it works well for us.

Comfortable, quiet riding vehicle with a few annoinces.

Great riding vehicle. Relatively quiet on the road. Good mileage around the suburbs but a bit low on the highway. A few annoyances with the displays. Why display a screen saver when the car starts up instead of the screen setup that was displayed when the vehicle is turned off, the radio starts playing so why not show the radio screen? If you are going to insist on a 160 mph maximum speedometer then put it on the left side of the display so the pointer isn't hidden behind the steering wheel when you are driving within legal speeds. The 160 mph maximum on the speedometer ends up compressing the scale so it is hard to accurately read the speed especially when the pointer is off on the far left side of the screen. I like having gear selection buttons to avoid having the shift lever in the way of the cup holders, but why do you push the button towards the front of the car to go in reverse and push the one in the rear to go forward? This is backwards from common sense to me. An why have paddle shifters on a hybrid?

Tucson review

Overall great vehicle. One issue they need to work on is the paint. The paint is too thin and the clear coat is not heavy enough. Vehicle is less than 3 years old and has a lot of minor scratches that is shouldn't have.

Good little car

Comfortable, great gas mileage. It’s a peppy little thing! No fear pulling out in traffic. As with many new cars, there’s no spare tire. The map is terrible and there’s a rattle in the front driver’s side that I’ve taken to the dealer for repair and will have to take back. I’ve it this vehicle for a year and a half. Overall, it’s a decent ride for the money.

A good vehicle, performs as expected with only nominal maintenance.

This is the biggest car I have own in 30 years. I bought it because it was a hybrid...although not a plug-in. I have been pleased with the performance and economic operation of the car but am still struggling to get it parked straight in a space. Other than an issue with the EGR valve shortly after I bought it, the only maintenance has been the occasional oil change. This is the third Hyundai we have had in our stable and all of them have proved reliable and economical to operate and maintain.

Good driving car

Good pickup, a lot of features but a few jumbled features like the emergency stop will kick in for no reason whatsoever. Some features like Apple CarPlay will not let me play Sirius radio when I’m using Apple gps.

Disappointment

I like the utility and the economy of vehicle, but I am very disappointed in the touch-sensitive infotainment system. I believe it creates a safety hazard when taking eyes off the road to input a command or data. I also do not care for the particular push button transmission system when rapidly going from drive to reverse or vice versa under pressure of traffic .

Tucson Hybrid good, bad and awesome

I have been driving this vehicle for a while now. There are some awesome features and some good as well. The needs to be better are there too. Let’s start with my interior. Awesome! The seats are soooo comfortable, they cradle you in comfort. Hyundai put lots of useful gadgets in ther as well. The cooled and heated seats, the memory for seat settings, the ease of lowering the back seats being in a luxury vehicle. I am not overly fond of the cruise control, and there are a lot of features I don’t really use. On the outside of the vehicle, the wipers are horrible. I have gone through two sets in less than two years. Also, there needs to be some kind of wipers for the back window. The ride is excellent, the EV needs to be more efficient. I rent many cars for business travel and gas engines in a comparable size SUV should not get better mileage than an EV. Hyundai, you can do better. Overall, a great vehicle.

Overall I am happy with car. Have issue with the warnings on screen. Too small. On screen only for brief time. When I notice it the warning was gone. Also, radio. Can’t see the artist. Don’t need to see album. Hard to read these things while you’re supposed to keep eyes on the road. Back up noise is the worse.

Love the Hybrid version and very satisfied so far ... one issue with paint chipping on the hood and the mirrors should be integrated with the seat memory.
