Coffee break alert insanity

This is my fourth Tucson- I used to love them. I had 2008, 2011, 2020 and now 2026. The driver’s safety warnings are out of control. The coffee break alert goes off every 4-7 minutes regardless of driving erratically or not. It is not possible to turn it off, either. I took it back to the dealership and was told there was no way to turn it off or reduce it. I absolutely hate it and it makes driving any distance unbearable.

I have owned Hyundais since 2014. Previous model's features were very intuitive to figure out/use. The 2026 Tucson Hybrid's are not, for the most part. The vehicle has so many new and helpful features, but yet a poorly indexed manual, employees (spoken to over the phone and in dealerships) who are unfamiliar with the solution to my seemingly basic question (I was recently told by a customer service rep, to visit the dealership's service department for my answer; they didn't take the time or initiative to get the answer for me).

Annoying messages "Keep your eyes on the road"

I do not wear glasses, and the daytime lighting conditions in Arizona are excellent. However, the system constantly displays “Keep your eyes on the road” notifications. The lane control is also poor. The car tends to drive too close to the right lane line and too close to traffic on the right side, especially near large commercial trucks. The sound quality is significantly worse than in our other car, a Nissan Rogue. The wireless phone charger does not properly charge the phone, even when using a Samsung phone without a case. The side mirrors do not fold automatically. All cars in our parking lot fold their mirrors, but our new Hyundai Tucson 2026 Limited does not. It is also not possible to close the windows using the remote. Finally, the gas mileage is below expectations.

Tucson Hybrid

Love the fit and finish. It’s quiet and sounds solid when you close the doors. The collision avoidance system is a bit of a challenge. It has overreacted with a couple of emergency braking events that weren’t necessary. So much so we were concerned we’d get rear ended. The lane assist is so problematic we turned it off. Lots of road construction where we live and lots of temporary lanes confuses the system.

My new Tucson is fun to drive and the hybrid motor is helping keep costs down as the current gasoline prices are soaring. This car has amazing technology and so many features that make it safe and comfortable to drive.

Outstanding with only a few flaws

Pleasure to drive and operate. However, as listed in the Cons, with as brilliant as everything else is, cannot understand the location of the rear turn signals being so low and so small. And it's great that it has manual controls for the climate but falls a little short because the lights are so dim (even with panel lights at their brightest) and needs a redesign or brighter lights or indicators. The center console storage isn't as well designed either as my Ford Edge was. That's about the only thing that was better though, because this is an outstanding car overall. Just a few tweaks for future models.

Nice to drive, I like the color and the interior light color.

When I was looking for a car, I wanted cloth seats, a light interior (no black!), a gold or light blue exterior color, good visibility out the rear and side windows and a driver's seat I could sit up in and see out easily (since I'm short). This car covered most of what I wanted minus the cloth seats and lighter exterior color. I am getting used to the "leatherette" seats which aren't bad and they are fairly comfortable. I do not like all the sounds - beeps, dings, etc., but have turned off most of them. I like the bronze exterior color, although I wish it was a lighter color. I had a gold 2017 Subaru Outback before which I absolutely loved and I can honestly say I still miss it, but the new Outbacks were not to my liking. I'm not sure why manufacturers feel the need to change when they have a top of the line model. However, I do like the Hybrid model, the price was affordable, the interior is light and nicely made, and the visibility is good. I've been averaging around 42 miles per gallon just in town and 46 miles per gallon on a highway trip. I like the fact that I can keep the key in my purse, lock and unlock the car without getting the key out (which is nice when I've got groceries), and the push button starter is nice, too. The warranty is another reason I looked at Hyundai as it's the best of any place. One thing I might change is that as soon as I turn off the car, all the doors unlock. I'd rather they all stay locked and that I can just unlock the driver's side just for when I'm alone for safety purposes. I know some of these things may sound picky, but I'm just being honest. All in all, I'm actually pretty content with this car.

I’m loving it!

My 2026 Hybrid Hyundai is quiet, smooth and really enjoyable. It’s nav screen and Apple Play are perfect size, and the heads up display is so nice to have too. Also importantly they have buttons and knobs available for volume and AC, and everything is very intuitive. So many great features are included in this model, that while I could have afforded a more luxury vehicle, I didn’t feel I needed to buy one when this had all of the extras I was looking for.

Comfortable, efficient, and irritatingly 'smart'

We have gone too far. Cameras that monitor my eyes. Sensors in the steering wheel to sense if I am holding the wheel. Except it keeps telling me I need to hold the wheel when I am already holding it. The most annoying "go change your oil" notifications ever. Ya'll stopped making cars for customers. You have begun to dip your toes into a hellish future of Cyberpunk's ilk. I love the car, but be certain I will not be buying a car like this ever again. By the time I am ready to purchase my next car I will be seeking out something that doesn't feel like big brother is watching me.

safety features take away from the pleasure of driving

Love the Ride, Hate the new safety features. Can you tell me how to turn off the lane assist, on roads under construction, (where there are new and old lines it actually fights me to stay in the correct lane. Can you tell me how to turn off the cruse control avoidance system, If a car moves in front of me, moving slower than the traffic. the system doesn't just lift off the gas it literally slows so much (with no brake lights) I almost get hit from behind. ( so the safety feature is going to cause an accident). and how to turn off the collision avoidance system. I can be stepping on the brakes to slow down for a car and the car decide to lock up the tires. 3 times it has done that ( my wife has severe neck problems and this made it worse causing her to go back to the doctors for relief.

Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Review

Almost 5 months. First two months I see low mileage, but from last two months I see an average of 30+ mileage on city and highways combine. On city roads some time it averages of trip are reaching 40+/gallon. Best suited for city roads as I observed. One full tank gives you 420miles at least. Engine Pickup and features are good.
