Tucson story
Generally very pleased. But two negatives need fixing.
1. Auto transmission takes too long to shift down and engage when you need it most - ie, when stepping on the accelerator. Not flooring it, just wanting extra power - now.
2. Cruise control is too sloppy - control range seems to be +2 to -3. That's too broad. This occurs primarily when going up and down hills (the +2 isn't the result of coasting downhill; it occurs at the top of the hill before you're even actually going down). The system needs to apply power early when speed decreases away from the setpoint and stop applying power early when speed is approaching the set point. Maybe you need a derivative controller that senses the rate of change as you approach setpoint. I do like the digital setpoint with 1 mph increments.
3. This is preference rather than a design issue. I don't like the roller bar to change speaker volume, and I don't like having to press the roller bar down to turn the radio off. Unless you're unsafely giving solid attention to the placement of your finger, you wind up blasting out the volume instead of, or just before, you get it pressed down. Give me a regular ol' knob that turns and presses. I don't have to look at that to work it; I can feel my way there and recognize the knob by touch
