Genesis GV80, Gertrude

This has been my favorite car ever! She is named after my grandmother Gertrude, who was comfortable and soft and always knew what was needed. She was tireless and worked hard for our family and a great cook. She personified "gemütlichkeit", comfort and connection .

A car I look forward to drive

This is my third Equu- Genesis product that I have purchased. It may be my favorites at this point in my life. The sedans that I have driven were fun in their day, but now that I’m older, I need a vehicle, that is more comfortable for ingress and egress. In addition, this vehicle has the creature features that I love, from the variable ambient, lighting, to the 3.5 6L twin turbo engine, which gives a sound and acceleration that makes my heart race (in a good way,).

I like the vehicle overall but I don't love it. Unfortunately it has too many squeaks and rattles. Havent heard this many squeaks in a car since the 1980s.

2024 GV80

Nice design and interior is great. However, the driving dynamics need attention. The suspension is rough and there is a fair amount of road noise on any non-smooth surface and at higher speeds. The differential also makes annoying noises at certain speeds. Gas mileage is poor with the V6.

Love the car. Would love the following changes: 1) provide an option to disable the auto door lock, 2) allow a shift from N to D without pushing the brakes (This is especially needed when exiting a car wash. If they stack the cars close together, pushing the brake to get into D disrupts the flow of cars out of the car wash and causes the driver in the car behind me to panic/honk because they think I am stopping.), 3) When I verbally enter a destination into the nav system, it asks me to pick the number of the location I want (which is fine). When it selects that destination, it then asks me again if I want directions to that location. Seems redundant and is a bit annoying., 4) The engine fan that kicks in when the a/c is running is extremely loud. A quieter fan would be greatly appreciated.
