My Hyundai Tucson

I love my 2023 Hyundai Tucson from Hampton Imports in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. My car runs great and everything is working just fine. I have looked at newer models, but I love my 2023 SEL Convenience Model. I wish I could up-grade my sound system to Boise Stereo, but I'm satisfied with what the car was equipped. My Hyundai Tucson gets excellent gas mileage and is a wonderful and sporty looking car to own. I have many compliments on my car. No complaints .. all is well!

honest overview

overall its a decent commuter vehicle but, biggest complaint is the 4 cylinder motor power plant that was dropped in this , it is lack luster combined with a sub par trans makes the driving experience pretty under whelming, even if it was to be paired with a small to mid sized turbo setup and bigger injectors im not confident that the trans would be able to handle it. the throttle response is subpair, gear ratio is not optimal

RO# 368428 VIN# 240220 service advisor very pleasant

October 29th brought my hyundai tucson in for service. November 17th. It reigned on my progress report. It said wipers in good condition, when I turn them on, they were all shredded. Wipers were not in good condition. They should have been replaced very disappointed. I'm not sure you did the other work.

Ride is a bit stiffer than some other SUVs The limited with no turbo is a bit sluggist on take off. Quick accerlation not adequate when needed.

It’s okay.

I don’t like that when you press on the gas to jump on the freeway or to pick up speed it stalls a bit. It makes a weird noise on the inside of the car sounds like something computer wise.

Too Much Maintenance

Amount of maintenance I’ve had to do is ridiculous. I asked the rep, if they thought it was a “well built automobile” the amount of warranty repair I needed done. They agreed it wasn’t!

Great SUV…but poor acceleration

My 2023 Tucson is my third Hyundai purchase. I owned two Sante Fe’s previously. The only real complaint I’ve had about the Tucson since I purchased it new is the consistency and power when accelerating. It’s choppy and weak, and a few times downright dangerous when I needed to cross a lane of traffic or move quickly to get out of the way of another car. I know I can’t expect much with a four-cylinder car, but the lack of acceleration power needs to be addressed with this make and model.

Transmission

Everything was fantastic until 30k miles. Transmission is now slipping randomly. I can't check the fluid level to see if it is low or burnt.

Love my car!

I love my Tucson, it’s easy to drive, comfortable, & I’m really glad I bought it. That being said, there are 2 things that need to be corrected. The windshield wiper sensors do not work properly. And, there needs to be a manual way to unlock the doors. If something happens to the electrical/battery, there’s no way to unlock the doors from the inside.

Fits so much stuff that I’m able to pack for long drives and 13 weeks stay away from home for work. Great ride and so many bells and whistles! Wish it had the heated steering wheel like the sedan I had but overall great vehicle
