Well executed, but needs improvement

Overall a pleasure to drive; however: Insufficient range - about half of what I want. Lacks rear window wiper. Integration with Apple CarPlay not as seamless or consistent as it should be. Never qualified for federal tax credit. Some trim components underwhelm.

Need to reduce the number of items the user can configure and simplify the user manual as its way to complicated. Also need to add a rear screen window wiper.

Excellent vehicle with a few silly oversights.

Styling, ergonomics, comfort are all excellent. Regenerative braking is impressive. The frunk could have been bigger, some of the gaps could be more uniform, and the lack of a rear-windshield wiper is just sad.

Great vehicle but missing small things

I love driving out ionic 5. Couple of things have been problematic for us because we drive on gravel roads. 1) there is no rear wiper. The amount of sheer dust that comes from our country roads means we have to manually clear the dust off the rear window every time we drive it. 2) it is not an airtight vehicle. The dust gets lodged in the inner parts of all doors, including the trunk and hood. Even though we wash it regularly, the inner parts of every door gets a buildup of dust. In the wintertime we noticed an accumulation of mud INSIDE the doors…it all goes back to not being all that air tight or having a design that does not prevent dust from getting inside the vehicle.

Happy but wondering why….

Am overall very happy with the car. Handles well, very comfortable. Controls are intuitive. No issues charging. I wish it had a rear wiper, the Apple car play didn’t require a plugged-in cable, that the bluelink subscriptions would be included for my model as it is for 2024 onward ($300/year!), and access to basic climate controls (like turning it off!) wasn’t on a sub-menu.

Nice responsiveness. Good features. Poor design.

The responsiveness and pickup of the car is great. It keeps a charge for awhile. The interior is spacious, but I wouldn't call it an SUV. The features are easy to use and provide a lot of convenience. The downsides are the battery, which has died on us and we had to replace already. No one told us about popping the door handle out once it died, so my husband chipped the paint trying to pry it open. Also, the trunk consistently rattles, despite adjusting it several times.

Like the big screens but a challenge to navigate.

using all of the features is somewhat challenging for 60+ people and especially while driving. Do like being able to use navigation by vocal commands.
