Attractive nice car

Based on positive experience with our 2005 Sonata we decided to give Hyundai a try and the Ionic 5 was more attractive than the other E V's we looked at. It is a very nice car. By the way, some of the questions we had to answer in this survey are irrelevant. Oil change? Haha What oil change!

Love this car!

The Ioniq5 is our first EV and we absolutely love it. It feels luxurious to drive and is so smoothe and quiet. Of particular note is the really roomy back seats, which actually recline. Honestly, the exterior design is a little boxy for my taste, but all the other qualities far outweigh that minor point. Strongly recommend!

Wonderful electric vehicle. I have owned 2 Audi E-trons they had more features but lacked the range of the Ionic. Fun car to drive and very easy to operate. Fit and finish were perfect and dealer experience was wonderful

Quiet, Quick and Fun to drive

Have had an amazing time driving this vehicle, changing time is very fast, reliability seems to be great so far. Liked the style and deigned most of all minimalist interior design yet good amount of buttons and controls available not just buried in the screen menu.

Best Car Ever

This is my first electric car and, so far, the experience has been fabulous. The car is beautiful and a dream to drive. I got a home charger which is so convenient. Have not yet taken it on a road trip, but will soon. Can't say enough good things about the Ioniq 5.

Well pleased with Dealership, vehicle price and perfomance

Well pleased with information available online such as build and price. Ioniq 5 is affordable, looks and performs well. I am dissatisfied with the lease payment through Hyundai Finance. Monthly lease payment is nearly double the amount of a comparably priced gasoline powered vehicle. Also dissatisfying the nearest EV participating Hyundai dealership is 50+ miles from my residence. The dealership I we actually purchased our vehicle at was 70+ miles away from my residence.

Great by itself, painful as a whole

Ioniq 5 is a very nice car, great to drive and fun to use. but when it is time to charge it, things go ugly very quickly. you get 2 year free charge (30min) on Electrify America which is great, but only if those stations are working and there not several other cars waiting in line to get charge. Their app issues is another thing that make charging experience a bad one. you can charge on other companies stations, but it is going to be same price as gas. so why would someone switch? why should I pay way more for car itself, and also pay same amount for electricity again? Also the range on the car is so sensitive to every little thing happen to the car. so you really cannot trust the range you see, because let's say it gets cold, and you gonna lose charge. so you can't be sure if you gonna get home!

Fantastic vehicle! Car and Driver nailed it!

Love this car! Smooth quiet ride, great handling and responsiveness, cool futuristic looking interior and exterior! And no gas stations to deal with! Car and Driver nailed it with a 10/10 rating! My only minor issue is the average range is lower in highway driving that expected. Other than that it is a winner!

I continue to be impressed by this car!

I love this car! It's comfortable, quiet, and the ride is very smooth. It accelerates and handles like a much smaller car, but it's actually quite big and roomy inside! Super fun to drive! Sport mode is very peppy and responsive! It charges fast and has a great driving range. I like the instrument panel and touch screen. Lots of great safety features means it's cheaper to insure than my last vehicle.

Stylist and Featuristic car

A fun to drive car with great styling. I like the pixelated accents on the vehicle. For this price range it would have been great if surround camera was included for the SEL Trim. Overall a great EV to have. Love the spacious trunk and wide tires.

Perfect purchase

I owned a 2014 and 2017 Tesla Model S after a major accident I needed a new EV (had replacement insurance) did some research and found this Gem after purchasing it I found it had 95% of the features the Tesla had but also had some great features Tesla didn’t have. Ioniq 5 has that Tesla doesn’t Open space if front movable center colum, Car Play, AR heads up display, Better actual miles per charge, 3 Modes of driving, Interior Lighting, better regenerative braking, much more flexibility on functions from display. Much quieter interior on the road and no outside noise. I would buy this again over my Tesla

Love it

Powerful dual motors makes it quick to accelerate. Great technology. Comes with a type 1 charger, but I had a type 2 charger installed in the garage. Displays are digital for both the center console and instrument cluster.

2003 SEL RWD

Well deigned and built EV. We went with RWD for the range and it’s plenty powerful, zips around traffic. Loads of space for driver, passengers and decent cargo. Has just the right mix of analog and digital controls for climate, navigation, media. Regenerative braking works well and can easily adjust. Fast charging works as advertised, we appreciated on road trips. Long wheelbase is smooth riding.

Happy to have located one. Have not regretted purchasing it. Outstanding highway manners and very quiet. Very quick and agile and the adaptive cruise control works beautifully. Seats are very comfortable which is a big thing for me. Over all very happy.

Very good vehicle with only a few minor issues

This is a very well thought out vehicle. The car handles well and is fun to drive, with plenty of useful safety features. The only reasonably major issue I have is that there is no rear window wiper, which I do think would be useful. The voice control system could also be more intelligent, it often requires precise wording for specific functions.

Great car with some issues.

Overall satisfied with the vehicle. A couple of issues: vibrations at higher speeds, forward collision warning not working and lane keep assist need to be resolved to full satisfaction. The authorized service center did not know how to fix vibrations and shaking at higher speed.

The vehicle is built well, drives great, feels great, extremely comfortable. Hyundai customer support is awful, blulink is built terribly. The heater is extremely weak. I’m taking it in to the dealer to examine why the heater is so bad

Love my IONIQ

Do your research. Watch the videos on YouTube and join the forums. Lots of great information. It's a little intimidating going from a gas to EV but once you get the hang of it and iron out the nuances, it's a great drive. Not to mention, electric is more environmentally friendly than gas.

SEL nice styling and a good driving experience

SEL nice styling and a fun driving experience. However, some key fob issues or glitches. Also, upgraded front headlights missing from 2023 SEL compared to 2022 (and I did not realize when buying). Finally, SEL missing features I expected to see at this price (power passenger seat, upgraded sound, rain-sensing wipers to name a few).

A Dream Car

This is the best car I've ever owned (in my 50 years of owning cars). It is fast, secure, has excellent visibility, fine range and provides you with a sense of calm centeredness that is unequalled in anything I've seen.
