Lame support

Will simply never buy another Hyundai. The company emailed me about the upgrade to a Tesla charger. I went to the dealership to pick one up. Sorry, you missed the deadline.

Fun to drive, Roomy interior. Some hardware could be higher quality.

Unique design with pixelated lights, great acceleration and comfortable seats. The 12V battery died before the car was two years old and left me stranded. More robust 12V battery should be used. Also the fake metal trim on exterior is easily scratched, and the paint job has lots of orange peel (wavy appearance).

Ioniq 5 Perfect EV

The Ioniq 5 is near perfect. I was exposed to it as a rental car on a work trip. My prior experience with an EV was a rental Tesla. I was amazed by how much better the Ioniq 5 is in comparison. Even compared to many cars on sale that are not EVs, the Ioniq shines with intuitive driver controls, space and comfort, and handling on the road.

does not have any where the range. 1.4 times the energy to go a mile

never more than a 75 quarters of a charge and less range promised. this creates not much range for a lot of time at a charge station. really bad when you have to wait.

(Almost) loving my 2024 Ioniq 5

Overall, we are pleased with the vehicle. It handles well, rear wheel drive efficiency is good and it is quite comfortable and well equipped in the Limited trim. This is the second Hyundai we have owned. My only and unfortunately, very annoying problem is a rattle from the rear hatch that the dealer has indicated they are unable to repair. They indicated that the recall for the earlier model really didn’t fix it and it won’t fix ours either. Unfortunately, when my three-year lease ends, I won’t consider buying out the vehicle and may not even consider getting another Ioniq five as the rattle persists over any type of small or large bump.

Sincere car wants me safe but bad views vs Toyota Matrix / Vibe .

My foot doesn't like clutching the Toyota Matrix / Pontiac Vibe anymore . I've put the most hours of the family on the Electric car . The Hyundai has sensors and screens and alerts and a much more restricted view . Old people must be careful about moveable handrest in front . Terrifying acceleration , but I want to use it to compensate for poor view and situational awareness . I'm glad we didn't get the VW. electric car .

Love. This. Car.

This is my first EV and this car checks almost all the boxes: Comfort and Safety & Security Features, Speed and Handling, Aesthetics, User-Interface, Great Ride, Lots of Storage Capacity. However, my vehicle was advertised with a 310 mile range and I rarely ever get close to that. If I did, it would mean I'd have 1% battery left. I drive from San Diego to Los Angeles once a week and can't make the round trip (approx 245 miles) without recharging. For me though, that isn't a deal breaker.

Best car I ever owned

I’m 75 years old and have owned many Internal Combustion Engine cars over the past several decades. Some of them have been very reliable and fun to drive. However, many required extensive ongoing maintenance and repair costs. The Ioniq 5 is by far the most powerful, responsive and cheapest vehicle to operate. While the ICCU issue has been a concern for me, I have had the recall updates done and have experienced no issues needing attention. I love the fact that the car charges quicker than most EVs when using DC fast chargers. Overall, this has been a great vehicle for my wife and I.

Great car, with noises

Basically I love driving the car. It’s quick, smooth, effortless. I like that it is zero emissions. But it has well documented noises in the cabin, some from the rear hatch door; others, a whirring noise under front in suspension (as yet unidentified). Such a cool car, it’s annoying to have it spoiled with these creaking sounds. Also, got in car once and it wouldnt start: screen notified me the 12 v battery too low. But then next morning it started.

great little car

I have really enjoyed my 2 yr lease. I wont likely buy the car, or get another hyundai. But for basic features like handling, charging, range, etc. the car is great. Unfortunately, the User Interface design on the touchscreen is quite clunky, making that part a hassle to use. Navigation is awful, to the point that I would only use it on long trips.

2024 Ioniq 5

We enjoyed the car for the extent of the 24 month lease. Favorite features were the AWD, interactive display, and low maintenance. Drawbacks were lack of rear window wiper and accuracy of Map feature. Also, the 12V battery died about 1 week before the lease was up. My Hyundai dealer did not offer assistance, so I called Hyundai customer service and was told the battery had a 36 month warranty. So, I replaced the battery myself and submitted documentation to Hyundai for reimbursement. I was denied because I did the work myself. I've submitted for mediation with the BBB and I'm still waiting for resolution. I'm very disappointed in Hyudai customer service for this reason
