Would purchase again, but . . .

Solidly reliable, excellent ride and handling, intuitive controls, camera rearview mirror is a favorite, as are folding side mirrors and back-up camera. Holds the road and corners and accelerates strongly. Seems like a safety-conscious choice, although I've not tested crash resistance. ;-) Lost one star because of one-time computer brain freeze. Was driving in town and all systems went down. Coasted into a parking space, turned off and on, and was back in business, but this incident caused a reduction in reliability confidence. Also, range is limited. Not a problem for charging at home or even charging in town, but charging on the road, though MOSTLY routine, can be hinky. LOVE Electrify American, BUT the stations are sometimes more that 200 miles apart, and my car won't safely deliver me 200 miles, unless it's downhill.

2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5 has Good Points but Misses the Mark in Others

The Infotainment Center is poorly organized and not intuitive in the least. Controls are hidden behind unrelated buttons, and some button names are misleading. The absence of forward parking assist cameras is a major flaw.

A Great Vehicle, But Could Do With Some Refinement

I like the design, power and features but there are some rough edges that need refinement to make it a 5-Star car. 1. Headlight switch on the indicator stalk is too easy to knock out of "Auto" yo "Off" 2. Seats are not very supportive and headrest projects too far forward, encouraging bad posture. 3. Wiper stalk works in reverse direction to most other cars. 4. Things like heated/ventilate seats, AC On/Off are buried in display menus and should have dedicated buttons. 5. Phone charger is very weak. 6. Rear door rattles - Probably because the body flexes a bit. 7. Needs a spare tire - Puncture kit is not a good alternative. 8. Headlights are not very good - Auto-dimming needs work. My 2019 Ford is far better in this respect.

Love this car. The Ioniq 5 is a smooth riding car, but it's also a drivers car, quick to get up to speed but not scary quick.

Great features, comfortable drive and more than enough range!

The Ionic5 is my first electric car and I couldn't have picked a better car to make the jump from ICE cars. The drive is very comfortable - sometimes "soft" but that is what I wanted. From safety to infotainment, the features are rich and well thought out. There is a small learning curve for some of the assistance features but a couple of attempts is all it takes to familiarize. Yes, I had some trouble with the 12V battery (replaced following a recall) but outside of that, the car is excellent. The form factor, seating position, drive and range is all what I was looking for in my first electric car.

Stylish and feature filled ride.

The ioniq 5 provides a great Segway to first time electric car users. The UI is approachable and has plenty to offer, the EV is quite smooth and zippy especially in the sport mode, and the range is quite competitive. There are lots of stylish points to hand out, however some features may have been cut-out in place of others. More accurately this vehicle should best be labeled as a hatchback as it is too cramped to be an SUV, still it offers a reasonable amount of cargo space especially considering the price range...

My main issue with the vehicle is the build quality and the dealership lack of honesty and willingness to cover issues that should be clearly covered under warranty.
