Love not paying for gas and the low cost maintenance. Wish it had a rear- window wiper and more range.

Fun and zippy

Needs back window wiper, artificial leather seats are too sensitive to scratches and indentation; needs Bluetooth Apple CarPlay; has some rattling sounds from the passenger door and rear view window; trim around doors gets dirty easily; needs seat warmer/cooler as an option for remote climate start; when using Apple CarPlay, would love the whole screen to be dedicated to CarPlay, not split screen, however sine I’m forced to have split screen, it is not letting me default to clock, it defaults to map; some issues with delayed or no working door handle lock

Great base, but the SEL level has too many compromises

Basic car is excellent, but the Limited is the better option. The SEL that I had gave up too many features which made it just ok, rather than great.

Love this car

This car incredible in all weather and I’ve had 0 issues. In the summer I got over 300 miles of range between charges. In the winter I do lose 70 miles because I like my to be warm.

2024 Ioniq 5 - a very good EV and worth the price.

Overall, we have been quite pleased with this car. It is our first EV, so there were some growing pains. It runs like a top and has been 100% reliable. The cabin is spacious, and the ride is comfortable. Our only difficulty has been the car's limited range. This becomes a real hassle on long car trips, for instance, from Denver to Santa Fe. We've had to stop at every opportunity in the poorly inhabited regions to keep from running the battery flat.

Charging port no longer opens when pressed. The charger no longer locks in place. Otherwise no issues

It's fine!

I enjoy driving my car, but there's been several issues with it. In the beginning, a fuse broke and I didnt have air conditioning for weeks on Texas, which wasn't great. I frequently have to reboot the entertainment screen as it lags or locks up. The AC settings also don't save, and the internal/external air setting changes on its own throughout the drive.

Fantastic, except...

I would have given it a 5-star rating, except for these problems: For the last 3 months the 12-volt battery has been losing its charge, to the point where the car is dead and requires a jump to start. I have had it to the dealership in Escondido 3 times, each for about 10 days. They believe a circuit board behind the dashboard is the culprit, but it's on back order. Turning radius is fall short of what it could/should be.

Opening the trunk is the most annoying thing I've ever

The inability to add your phone to have basic features like in most other EVs was very odd. The doors don't always auto open when the key is near. The trunk opening takes forever and the sound is so annoying - even more my elderly mom she thought it was slow!

Perfect car but not reliable

Love the car and features (fast charging, range, space, V2L) but why can't Hyundai fix the reliability problems?! I can't own a car that could leave me stranded. The rattle in the tailgate is also annoying and has been a problem with these for years - I don't see why they can't fix it.

Bought my lease!

I quite like my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq5 SEL. I had been a long time and confirmed anti car person until I got a new job a couple of years ago that required me to commute to work daily. I was really only looking for a car that was dependable and not too expensive. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Ioniq and decided to lease one. When my lease expired, I extended as long as I could then decided to buy an ioniq5. I expected to buy existing leased car but was shocked and disappointed to discover that the buyout was more than 10k higher than the blue book value. I went to a dealership and bought the same exact car-miles, model, color etc. for the fair market value. So confusing why Hyundai would make me go through the bother and loose a Hyundai financing client(I financed the new car through another bank).

IONIQ 5 the perfect commuter’s car

I drive this car primarily to work about one hour away 3 days a week. From the programmable remote start, comfortable seats, roomy interior and all that XM radio and apple car play has to offer. It’s a nice oasis to go to to and from work. Its peppiness is great for errands around town. Great acceleration and relaxed steering gets you in and out of traffic effortlessly. So fun to drive!
