IONIQ 5 - GREAT VEHICLE

Love this car. A couple small things I would change though. 1. Rear window wind shield wiper is needed. 2. The speedometer on the display is sort of hidden behind the left side of the steering wheel instead of being in the center of the display screen. There is one problem which I haven't had addressed - the interior light above the rear view mirror on the drive side keeps coming on while I'm driving - it stays on sometimes and other times it goes right out - but it is distracting.

Hyundai Ionic 5, 2024 model

I had a nearly good three years with my leased 2024 Ionic 5. However, I had the misfortune of not once but twice having the ICCU fail while I was in heavy rush hour traffic. Very scary.

I am extremely disappointed with my Hyundai IONIQ 5. One of my biggest

Never again listen to the sale person I am extremely disappointed with my Hyundai IONIQ 5. One of my biggest complaints is the climate and temperature controls. I find them very distracting to operate while driving because I have to take too much attention away from the road just to make simple adjustments. In my experience, this feels unsafe and is something I strongly dislike about the vehicle. I also have been very disappointed with its performance in the snow. Living in Connecticut, I need a vehicle that I feel confident driving during winter weather, and this vehicle has not given me that confidence. For me, the IONIQ 5 is much better suited for short, local trips than the type of everyday driving I need. After owning and driving it, I regret choosing this vehicle and would not choose another IONIQ 5

I really love my ionic five limited. It has all the features I could possibly want and it drives incredibly well on the road. It’s quiet and has really good get up and go when you need it.

Ioniq5 is a fun car with some unforgivable problems

Loved my car for about 1.5 years. Super responsive, fun to drive, fit my stature well, clear views all around and felt safe to drive. At about 1.5 yrs, the problems started: my car started violently shaking when driving it at specific speeds, especially on the highway. Dealership was unresponsive, claimed the vibration was minor when they drove it, and then voluntarily referenced "loose dampening foam" but said that "couldn't be the problem or the shaking would be much worse." Took it back 3 times for this same issue, with recordings of the extremely dangerous shaking which the dealership took ZERO responsibility for even though this is clearly a defect. Finally had an independent mechanic take the tires off and the loose foam essentially "fell out" of every single tire. End of problem after MONTHS of driving a very scary, hard-to-control car. Meanwhile, the 12v battery experienced a complete failure leaving it unable to drive. Dealership help again was underwhelming - never told me there'd been a recall, told me the part was out of stock, never offered me a loaner car during a 2 week time period on my lease where I had no vehicle. In addition, this car has had constant trunk rattling, and odd electrical issues where the car turns on but won't go into gear, then won't turn off again. This issue is usually short lived and goes away on its own. But for a car now only around 2+ years old to have numerous issues making it un-drivable and/or dangerous to drive while Hyundai took very little to zero responsibility to provide help is actually unacceptable. Which is a shame, because I really loved driving it at first and was happy to tell everyone how much I liked it. I can no longer recommend this car or Hyundai to anyone.
